so, just so my score card is accurate:

Dez, Beas, TWill (blech), Witt, Rook, Rico AND Zeke (missing anyone?)....too many players, not enough positions

let's put the anointing oil down for a lil bit until we see if Switzy can play WR from the slot in the NFL and if Rico can even block well enough to make the 53...I want to see RS returning punts, without a doubt...but Dallas seems committed to Witten and Williams (uck), so instead of people saying Switzer would limit their touches, it is actually more likely that he goes the way of the dodo like all of the failed TEs over the last several seasons...

Before Switzer has ever caught a meaningful nfl pass you're suggesting on the money down that we sit the hall of fame for the 4th round rookie.

If you want to crown him then crown him.
People need to learn to read better.

I said "at some point". As in....not immediately. I also said it's nlt likely to happen.

Reading comprehension is a good thing. Work on it.

We changed QB since then. Not a knock on Romo - I'll always stick up for him, but Dak has different talents.

"I think Switzer has to be out there on 3rd down." was what I quoted.

A bunch of players were listed as "having to be out there." Switzer was named. Witten wasn't. A freaking joke.

Ok, we'll relay that to the wr coach and Scott Linehan who are just as excited to see him on the field.

Giants will be a tough opener. Hate playing them in this season opener.
I think Switz was drafted with the Giants defense in mind. I think we will see a lot of four receiver sets against them because of the coverage they play. I would expect Witt, Bease and Switzer to be very active against the Giants.

...At least that's what I would do if I was Linehan. Keep their defense spread and thin and wear them down with Zeke.

It's all about matchups. Beasley is open a lot, another player in the same mold can give you more favorable matchups against a defense's specific personnel.

No. Your opinion on his ability shouldn't change based on his helmet.

I'm guessing you're still confused.
Not confused at all. You said there are a tons of Switzers fans now. Of course there is, the Cowboys drafted him. No matter what anyone thinks of his abilities every Cowboy fan should be rooting for him.

Nevermind the fact many folks didn't have this guy on their radar until the draft card was turned in. Not everybody goes crazy analyzing the entire draft pool before the picks are made.

Well let me state the obvious here and play along. That's not really what I meant. Fan of his ability. That was discovered the afternoon of April 29th.

Be a little fair, nobody expected the Cowboys to even consider drafting another slot player. Now it is exciting to expect a radical change in our offensive scheme that likely will not occur.
