I see the haters say that but if that was true he would have sighed the extension already. See I wish fans like you would be honest and stop pulling opinions out your azzz. Dak was second team all pro. He is a good quarterback. Top 8 by general managers.The Cowboys know Dak’s worth and so does his agent. It’s not less then Hurts or Watson.

Put me with those who think the Joneses feel they gave up too much in the current deal, and feel they proved with Jason Garrett that it doesn't scare them in the least to have an ultimatum year with anyone.

Further, I think they think there's really nothing to lose. If France and his client won't work out something with them that is sufficiently team-friendly, then the ball is in Dak's court to perform well enough in 2024 to justify a handsome offer a year from now, ie, with the 2024 DAL roster having, on paper anyway, regressed. If, however, Dak wants to have a stronger supporting cast, then it's up to his agent to work with the Joneses to make that possible.

France, too, has proven he'll play hard ball, of course.

It's been typical that these negotiations have to have some kind of significant deadline pushing it to some end for there to be one... an end. I'm not sure what that would be under the circumstances. So, yeah... I absolutely can see this being Dak's last season in Dallas, unless he decides that's important to him to keep playing in Dallas.

Pretty sure Dak, CD, Micah are all seeing the same thing Tyron seen.

Jets are trying to win a SB, no one has any idea what GM Jethro is trying to do.

You maybe looking at this backwards. Why would Dak want to resign in Dallas? Look at this nightmare of an off season.

Jethro is not trying to win.

CD and Micah are watching closely and going to figure it out soon enough. Best option for GM Jethro is to resign both of them quickly. The longer he waits and they may decide to walk or demand a trade.

They will extend Dak. Jerry drafted him in the 4th round and he wants to prove that his pick for quarterback can win the Superbowl. Jerry wants everyone to think he is smart for drafting Dak. Jerrys ego will keep Dak here until he falls off a cliff. I hope I'm wrong.

Why would Dak want to resign with GM Jethro?

The only way I would is if he overpaid me.

Jerry has not clue how to build a team and win.

Really, who cares. Those picks led to two scores, by which we lost by. Numbers are meaningless, the only thing that matters are wins. That's why the QB's who deliver the ring make the big bucks. No he was in a run first offense in a run first timing based passing offense era, where DB rules and QB protecting rules were completely different.

He could have thrown plenty of TDs from within the 10 yard line but he was more than happy to let Emmitt accrue them.

BUT, a small part of me thinks a draft day trade - isn't out of the realm of possibility

They'd have to arrange that with Dak prior to the trade. No trade clause.
Likely a win-win for Dak and the team.
Dak options:
1) Play out this year at 30mil salary, risking injury and the value of his next contract, but having a chance at a higher contract in free agency next year.
2) Accept sign and trade with a new team with a new bonus and higher base level salary.
