The Broncos did something no other team has done in the 17 games Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott have played together. (Elliott sat out the Week 17 game last season.) Denver stopped both. Prescott threw two interceptions, and Elliott rushed for a career-low 8 yards on a career-low nine carries. Now comes the ridiculous notion [more]http://youwillnotrackme2.net/b.gif?host=profootballtalk.nbcsports.com&blog=&post=2478980&subd=nbcprofootballtalk&ref=&feed=1

Sometimes it's just that simple..

"So as Cardinals coach Bruce Arians responded when asked if the Broncos had provided other teams with the blueprint on how to shut down the Cowboys offense, “If you can borrow Denver’s players.”

Seriously, in about 14 games we played last year, the defensive game plan was pretty much 'take away the run, force Dak to win the game in the air'.

Only ONE team made that plan work: New York. Minnesota *almost* pulled it off too.

Exactly!

We didn't out scheme people in the 90's we beat their ***. Who didn't know an out was coming to Irvin or Emmitt was going to pound it up the middle and who thinks teams didn't know who we were after about game 5 last year.

Over reaction Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, etc.

We'll be fine.

Yeah but in all of those games, they kept running the football and playing their game not taking what was offered. The Denver game plan was more like a 2012 Dallas game plan.

............Dont forget Jay Novecek---essentially our Beasley chain mover, and Alvin Harper kept a deep threat imminent.

we made teams pick their poison

Was Harper---the least appreciated--actuallyl the Key that kept 8/9 out of the box?

Most teams simply don't have the talent to stop the Dallas ground game the way that the Broncos did. It was quite the obvious answer that was offered by Cardinals Coach Bruce Arians about borrowing Denvers players as a solution to thwarting the Dallas attack. The Cowboys will likely enjoy far greater success against teams other than the Broncos throughout the remainder of the season. At least, I would hope so.

Football is a game of match ups. Aside from having one of the most ridiculous home field advantages in all of sports, Denver simply presented a bad match up for us on both sides of the ball. Throw in that we're circled on every teams calendar. Denver will look ordinary in various weeks because of match ups. Hats off to them for executing their game plan well and outplaying us. On to AZ. It's a marathon.

The Eagles scare me. Their DL looks really good.

Only team I can think of that can maybe mirror Denver on defense is Philly. I still think they just had a bad game as the Gents Dline is awesome. Better than Denver IMO. Snacks was blowing things up all game.

Blame the loss on the O line...

Believe me, I have. For all the praise they've gotten, they didn't live up to it in Denver.

Of course, the team as a whole didn't either! Let's hope things go better from now on.

I dunno. When a team sells out to take away part of your game and does it with success, you can only bang your head against the wall for so long.
