He might have a chance if he had Dickerson's break away speed...he's gonna find out that real quick there is a big differnce between the NFL and running away from corn fed Big 10 defenders....
What are you talking about? Murray had 1800 with no breakaway speed. Jamal lewis had 2000. etc. speed has nothing to do with it, but zeke has enough of it to breakaway with a head of steam.

That would be great, but I think with you're setting yourself up for disappointment. I think with consistent QB play, and a defense that is good enough that we are playing with leads and not from behind its possible, but I would not say it's a given

I understand would seem a stretch. I think its more than doable considering.

I love that fans are surprised that guy that wears a midriff jersey is a little cocky

I think Alfred Morris makes this already difficult accomplishment all but impossible to achieve. He's just too good not to get regular playing time.
That is the exact reason why he won't get the record. Alfred Morris is just too good for him to only get 5 or 10 carries a game. Zeke will be great for our team, but the Cowboys are fortunate to have two RBs who are capable to get a 1,000 scrimmage yards this season from both.

It would be nice to see Elliott break that record, but are we going to give Elliott 20+ carries every game? If we do, then he has a chance to break that rushing record. But like Screw The Hall said, with Alfred Morris around and a dual threat quarterback in Dak Prescott, they are potentially going to take some carries away from Elliott and that might put our rookie in the 18-20 region rather than the 24 carries that Dickerson averaged during his rookie season. That would put Elliott on track to have a similar usage to Todd Gurley, and if Elliott plays 16 games, he will have a very productive rookie season - not Eric Dickerson like, but I think an LT like rookie season is very realistic with our O-Line and his ability.

I don't see it happening, just because the team won't let him tote the rock enough to make that possible. Just keep churning those legs Zeke!
