BTW, we are getting all that for the tune of 3.8 mil this season.

I expect Zeke to hold out.

Pay Zeke.

This has literally been explained to you by 5 different users.

He's getting 3.8 million this year because he chose to take 16 million cash before he even had an actual real NFL practice.

His current contracts guranteed (which is the most important part of the contract) is #1 for fully guranteed and #3 for total guranteed.

Pay Zeke ? He's getting paid top end money currently despite his deal being 3 years old.......... (if anything that's amazing that 3 years later he's still getting top 3 money at his position).

Zeke is ranked 10th in NFL salaries for a RB. 2016 was yesterday.

Pay Zeke!

So if Zeke holds out, even though he is currently signed through 2020, it's ok?

But if Dak holds out, even though his contract expires at the end of this 2019 season, it's not ok? Trade him?

Something doesn't sound right.

A lot of stuff he can train on his own at several gyms. Biggest thing is new OC and knowing the offense.

It's best to go ahead and pay him.

He will want to be paid more than Gurley, who signed a 4yr 57.5 million deal, ( 21 million was a signing bonus.)

This means Zeke is looking at a 4 year deal at 60-70 million, 25 signing bonus.

That comes out to 15-17.5 million avg per year for a 4 year deal.

Better than the 6 million avg on his old deal.

He'll be 28 when the new deal expires.

No way in hell do I pay a RB that much and I doubt Stephen will either

Then cut Zeke.

If an elite RB isn't worth it, trade him for a punter.

Who needs an elite RB who averages 100 yards a game rushing, leads the team in receptions, wins 2 rushing titles, and is on pace to break Emmitt's records?

I think the Cowboys should let him play out his existing deal, tag him twice and then cut bait.

And apparently teams win and win a lot without a guy like Elliott.

Technically Elliott hasn't played an entire season yet. In both 2016 and 2018 Garrett sat him in the final games because the Cowboys were already locked in the playoffs. Also his next suspension will probably be for 10 games. Normally it goes 2, 4, 6 and then 10 and then the entire season.
.

Well, normally it.goes doesnt fit here. He already got 6 the first time.

And even if he gets 10. Thats a risk. And that was and is my point. He did not prove anything until now that he is able to handle his off the field issues.

Literally none of what you said matters.

Zeke is the best RB in the game and not being paid like it. The other factors really don't have any influence. He holds all the cards and, whether we like it or not, is every bit as important to this team as Emmitt was.

Well, Zeke to me is not the best back right now.

He is important to the team, maybe like emitt was. But that wasnt my point.

Maybe you should read my post again and try to understand what i said. But you can also just go over it and just say that none of my points matter. You can always make the world as you wish it should be.

I'm sure Jerry said the same about Emmitt in 1993.

We can blame the Rams for this mess.

Its the signing Bonus. They all want that $$$.

Zeke will want around 25 million.

You just refuted your own statement.

"We are getting all that to the tune of 3.8 mil this season."

No reason whatsoever to "cut" him.
