PFT: Favre Already Under Contract With Vikings?

Didnt he flat out blow the last 4 or 5 games with the Jets? Singlehandedly collapsed their season?

I am just saying... no, asking? That my recollection
Did you read anything about his shoulder during that collapse?

I know that its pretty popular for Favre. Against us, he hurt his arm, he was out of game after INT'ing his team out of the game...but after game he knew for sure he was playing next week.

Now about this past year with the shoulder he threw some INT's right at LOS that just were bad decisions. Its not about the shoulder... not most of the time with him.

Okay - yes.
Wow - no.

Its no secret that the guy is a closet diva and puts himself, and at the time, his consecutive games played streak, ahead of the team.

I dont dislike the guy - he is just so transparent.

There is no way you can remember the reports about his shoulder. I find that remarkable. He was playing injured man. Surgery by Dr. William Andrews before the Vikings would even consider signing him. That injury led to his bad play down the stretch and ultimately to the collapse of the Jets. Who got them in position to even be in the running before the collapse? The guy is a remarkable football player. It is a shame that more people simply don't enjoy what he brings to the game and have to worry about his motives.

I'm the only person in this forum who is happy about this. I like the guy and enjoy watching him play.

Not at all. I like Favre. Always have. I love watching him play. My son certainly does as Farve is his favorite player in the whole league.

I just don't like how it gets dragged out for months on end. I have no issues, at all, with the guy continuing to play. If you feel you can still play, and you still want to, then do it bro. Keep playing until you just can't do it anymore.

There is such a small window to play football at that level that anyone begruding a person the right to continue to do it if they're physicially able are just pissed off former athletes who are mad that their days ended long ago and this can is still able to get out there and play.

I just wish the guy would say, much sooner, yeah I'm going to play but this is what I've got to do to get ready to do that and leave it at that.

Jealousy bro. It's former athletes who are still pissed off that their days ended in high school while this guy is still able to play, and be paid well to do so, at the highest level of football competition.

Unbelieveable is a better word.

Never liked Favre. Had a tone of respect for his abilities at one point, but I alway thought the aw-shucks routine was transparent. Didn't like him flopping for Michael Strahan. Didn't like him getting publicly involved in Javon Walker's contract talks. Didn't like the games he played with Green Bay last offseason, and don't like the fact that he'd consider playing for the Vikes. It has nothing to do with his play on the field where he clearly was one of the best ever.

That said, the Jets let him go after last season with nobody to replace him. Injured or no, that says a lot about what he's got left in the tank for Minnesota.

Good for Favruh. He was always fun to watch and if someone wants him, then he should keep on playing.

I never got that whole "retire while you are on top" thing. He loves the game so he should play.

Well, as long as Favre gets his own little office, his own little shower, his own little limo, and does not have to hang with the riff-raff known as his teammates I guess he will be alright in Minny. At least that is what I heard he did with the Jets.

He probably won't last the season if he does play.

This sums it up quite well as far as I'm concerned...
