Pacman's markers were reported to be from September. Any new trips to Vegas will likely to be a witness for the prosecution in the shooting case. This whole story sounds like total bs from the turd. Lets see if the media picks up the story.

I wish I had the inclination to find it, but I could've sworn that I read Jerry saying the league already knew about the debt. And if that's the case, then he had to have known when it occurred.

Yes, Werder reported it in one of the NFL Live videos I put up that Jones said the league knew about the debt.

Now that I think about it, was Werder talking about Jerry Jones or Pacman Jones saying the league knew about the debt?

If it was Jerry saying it I think Jerry would give full disclosure on the entire issue. But maybe Pacman just said it was an old debt or even a debt that incurred while he was there around the time the shooting happened.

Anywho, to think that Goodell wasn't a little annoyed at the fact that Pacman was back in Vegas is silly. Of course he was because the guy just got in all kinds of trouble there. I highly doubt the Vegas authorities wanted him back in Vegas either.

And anyone saying Pacman can go anywhere he wants is 100% right.

It that same thought you had better understand that the NFL isn't the United States government and they make the rules set forth by the 32 owners. So Roger Goodell gets to do as he pleases as long as he is the commissioner.

So stop complaining about how Pacman is being treated unfairly. He's being reviewed and disciplined under the guidelines set forth by the NFL, not by the same guidelines we live by under the US Constitution.

Adam Jones is expected to be a witness in the case. There could be good reasons for him returning to Las Vegas, perhaps at the insistence of the prosecution.

Going back to be a witness is a lot different than going back to gamble, lol.

The responses to this article, which comes from the National Enquirer of football publications, is just cracking me the hell up.

First off, nowhere is it documented that Pacman went to Vegas recently. No one can speculate whether the marker debt was incurred at his original Vegas visit or subsequent to his visit(s) with Goodell.

Secondly, it wasn't Goodell quoting that he wasn't happy with Pacman. It was some unnamed mysterious source. And as others have already pointed out...that is just bogus.

The debt was from September 3, 2007.

GOODELL UNHAPPY WITH PACMAN’S INTERNET PORN SUBSCRIPTIONS
Posted by Mike Florio on June 1, 2008, 9:59 a.m.

Overlooked in the question of whether the attempt to obtain a felony arrest warrant for biting strippers will affect the attempt of Cowboys cornerback Pacman Jones to win reinstatement to the NFL is whether the mere fact that Jones was visiting internet porn sites from the comfort of his home will hurt his chances.

As one league source advised us, Commissioner Roger Goodell is not happy that Jones was looking at porn. “It means Jones is still interested in women and good colon health and after Jones told Roger that he was done with women, particularly biting them, or watching other people bite them,” the source said.

But whether Goodell’s displeasure with Pacman’s behavior will be enough to keep him out remains to be seen. The fact that Pacman’s rights are now held by one of the most powerful of the 32 persons to whom Goodell reports is the one fact that most strongly favors Pacman’s desire to get back into the game.

“That's what she said,” the source said.

And the other Jones is Jerry Jones, owner of the Cowboys.

A decision on Pacman’s status could come any day, and is expected to be made during the week of June 2.

Overlooked in the question of whether the attempt to obtain a felony arrest warrant for unpaid gambling markers will affect the attempt of Cowboys cornerback Pacman Jones to win reinstatement to the NFL is whether the mere fact that Jones was back in Las Vegas and hanging out at a casino will hurt his chances.

As one league source advised us, Commissioner Roger Goodell is not happy that Jones was back in Vegas. “It means Jones was in Vegas hanging out after the shooting incident and after Jones told Roger that he was changing his ways,” the source said.

People, he hasn't done anything new to Pacman. You can always lynch him later.

It doesn't matter when it was. The assumptions that people are making from this article are downright amusing.

If these gossip rags reported that Joan Rivers was actually Jerry Jones in drag, they'd believe it.

Maybe the article is just stating something that would be common sense.

Goodell wasn't happy about hearing Pacman was in Vegas again to gamble after all of the trouble it caused him.

Shows a clear case of Pacman not understanding the 'guidelines' set forth to him by Goodell and also shows a lack of maturity in Pacman's decision making.

Stop trying to make this about anything but the facts.

The moron went back to Vegas.

Any NFL commissioner with common sense is going to be annoyed at that fact because it makes the league look like their punishments are useless and that they do not keep the players from putting themsleves back into possible situations that can cause even more damage.

If Pacman really was in Vegas recently, this guy's got to be one of the dumbest players in (if he ever gets reinstated) in the NFL. Some might think Pacman being back in Vegas as a no brainer and something Goodell has no right to consider, but remember Vegas is the scene of Pacman's worst off field activity. A club's security guy was shot as a byproduct of Pacman's throwing money around, etc. Common sense says he should have been somewhere else. Why throw a trip to Vegas in the face of the Commissioner which is how it could be seen by him? Remember Pacman went to a strip club the night before meeting with the Commish. There must be a million places in the States he could have visited and who were the people he was with? If it was his old cronies who helped get him in trouble, then you better believe the Commish must consider it. I do wonder if Vegas trip occurred when Pacman was still a Titan or since he became a Cowboy.

was back in 2007 I believe..this was not recently.

Is Goodell trying to parent every player in the league? I don't think the city of Las Vegas banned Pacman after the shooting incident, so I don't know why Goodell is trying to. Sure, "makin it rain" wasn't the greatest idea but MANY current athletes spend LOTS of time in Vegas. Goodell needs to get over his agenda. It has been well over a year now.

He was on NFL suspension in 2007 for silly actions in 2006 and prior. It makes it look like he just doesn't get it. If you are on suspension and wanting to put you best foot forward, gambling debts coming to the surface during said suspension are not exactly best foot forward. In fact, you'd have to say it's a stubbed toe at best.

If the Commish finds it relevant to inquire about I don't see why we're looking for outs for Jones. He paid the debt, it was markers meaning it was gaming tables, not sports. It will probably die, but it does call into question how seriously he got it that his off the field actions were why he wasn't playing the game.

Like I said, Vegas is FULL of current athletes year around. I just don't see why Pacman was supposed to think it was wrong to ever go back to that city and gamble. Especially when gambling has become a pretty established pastime amongst athletes in this era. The actions that he committed to get suspended, and him participating in legal gambling just do not relate.

Goodell has used Pacman to prove a point for long enough...

I had real high hopes for this commissioner but he has let me down. Way down.
