I'm a King's English stickler, so Jerry just chaps me sideways six ways to Sunday. YEEEEEHAAWWWWW!

He carries the ball soundly, Jerry. Soundly.

He probably means the new footballs they have that actually make a sound.

A rookie in his second game fumbling the ball twice. Do not ever come to me saying he carries the ball "sound". This is the NFL, not his college career. He better be holding a football while he's walking, eating, sleeping, and taking his morning dump.

"Did you take a shower this morning?"

"I fundamentally took a shower this morning. I cleaned it. I cleaned it with water. We won't get into all that detail, but if you asked the question: Did I clean myself by taking a shower? I did."

LOL credit where credit is due this had me crackin up.

Love me some quality Jerry speak.

The only way that could've possibly been any more accurate is if there was some usage of the word "relative".

One fumble was a re-visit of Demarco and Peppers, the second was a good defensive play. One fumble I blame on his relaxed attitude on carrying the ball, second I call a good play by the defense he was carrying the appropriately.

This is literally the last thing I'm worried about.

Elliott fumbled once in college. Once. He holds the ball right, and he doesn't have a history. That second one on Sunday was a perfect helmet to the ball. It happens.

Murray used to drive me crazy the way he held the ball.

I agree that he holds it right. He's just going to have to get used to the idea that NFL defenders are going to try to punch it out when he's fighting for extra yards.

I don't think Elliott's fumbles will result from carelessness. He's just got to be aware that if he's trying to power through tackles, his grip on the ball has to be even tighter.

Someone on TV actually made a decent point on the fumbles. He said in College the defense is tacking the running back, especially one like Zeke who can make them look silly, the defender is solely concentrating on getting the RB on the ground. In the NFL, they tackle the Football. Its a completely different running environment that all RB have t get used to in the NFL. The different way defenders attack the ball in the NFL and the lack of playing time in the Preseason, may have caught Zeke by surprise. Hopefully this is not an issue moving forward.

That's a good way to look at it.

It should be up to the coach how much playing time he gets. I love Zeke. I think he's going to be a great back but if he keeps fumbling he's got to be benched.

As a pro he has fumbled once for every 20 carries. I don't care what he did in college. You simply can't do that in the NFL

And if he carried the ball like Murray or Leasean McCoy or so many others, I'd be concerned.

But he carries the ball perfectly, he's strong as an ox, and it won't be a problem.

cant be perfect or the balls would not have popped out that easy.
Funny how some came down on murray so hard, when he had balls ripped out, not a fumble but just someone holding him and another guy rips it out,
and now EE has regular his fault fumbles, and it is A ok no problemo. He is perfect, he wont fumble again ever lol.
People already having a "bromance" with EE lol

in 2 games elliot has been awful, and hopefully he gets better, cause I know he will start each week no matter what.

Just to irritate some here lol
Rushing
DeMarco Murray 25 /131_ 5.2 + long-67_ 20+-1 rush td's 0/ per game 65.5 fumbles 1 _1lost was on a handoff, which to me was on mariota.
Ezekiel Elliott 41 /134_ 3.3 + long-21_ 20+ -1 rush td's 2/ per game 67.5 fumbles 2 _1lost
Receiving
DeMarco Murray 12 for 91 avg 7.6 _2 td's _22 long per game 45.5
Ezekiel Elliott 3 for 5 yds !_ 1.7 avg _ 0 td long 3 yds _ 2.5 avg per game

EE was supposed to be the complete back and run and catch, and no fumbles.
So far murray is the complete back and EE is less than avg.

Not his fault they dont use him to throw to,in the flat, but it is what it is.

As usual, speaking as the HC but I agree, Zeke is not a fumbler and he learned another valuable lesson for his second week in a row. Week 1, go where the hole is and don't try to make your own and week 2, hold onto that rock as if it were a new gold necklace. Can't wait for week 3 and the try and avoid the players in the opposing uniforms.

He's gonna be fine..............by week 17.

Murray fumbled plenty in college and the NFL.

Elliott fumbled once in three years at Ohio State.

He'll fix it immediately.
