Jerry would love this…the last thing Jerry wants to do is fire someone he picked because it’s an admission he was wrong. If McCarthy wins like 5 out of the last 6 I could def see Jerry selling the fan base or himself or both that injuries killed us this year and the team never had a chance.

Good luck selling the injury excuse when the team sucked before the injuries started piling up. Even Jerry has said the team was bad before Dak's injury, so how the hell does he think he can justify saying injuries derailed the season?

Every team has injuries, but you hope to avoid losing your starters for extending time coz depth is razor-thin. As mentioned before, we as a team have avoided any major injuries over the past 2-3 years, except for a player or two. Either way, this team wasn't going to do much this year regardless.....Dak or no Dak.

He calls it a "positive vibe" and this team needs all the positive it can get.

But the part where he says "not something I'm really focused on" says a lot more.

He's not coaching for this job. And he didn't ramble on about he'd love to bring some continuity to the team, and the players and the organization as some in his shoes would do.
