Wow... just wow... Kobe scared to go to the hole....

Yawn. Wake me up when Merriman actually plays. This is all a PR scheme devised by he and his agent. By saying he'll play, he puts it in the hands of the Chargers, who will now be forced to put him on injured reserve or risk having a PR nightmare on their hands. He'll look like a warrior and put additonal pressure on the Bolts to sign him to a long-term deal when his current contract runs out next year.

Until he actually plays, he's not risking anything. You dig?

It will be Dallas vs NYJ in the next SB... book it... Favre (Yoda) vs. Romo (the Young Jedi Master)
You've got that wrong: if Favre is a Star Wars character, he's Jar Jar Binks...and not my favorite character...

Obviously he failed the "mental" portion of his rookie evaluation with the Cowboys.

Hahaha "outqueens Kobe"? Kobe is the best basketball player in the world, and also the fiercest competitor.

If one NBA player isn't a "queen", it's Kobe Bryant.

You never heard of Michael Jordan? Kobe isn't the best basketball player in the world, Michael Jordan is

i respect him wanting to do everything to get back on the field but that still doesnt change the fact that he is one stupid S.O.B. seriously is he even thinkin about his career at all? one bad move and its over for him. the millions of dollars, the fame, being with his teammates, playing the game he loves, having possibly a HOF career. Seriously as much hate as he receives here i hope he reconsiders because if it would a shame if his career ended because of a boneheaded decision when all the doctors have told him to have the freakin surgery!!!

Maybe the doctors told him that because of his steroid use they cannot guarantee the success of surgery. Maybe he needs to have a career ending injury for his insurance to make him a rich man. Strange situation no matter what the truth is.

The local radio sports station was interviewing a sports reporter out of San Diego. Apparently the Chargers doctors had cleared Merriman to play a while back. He then went out looking for second opinions and all those doctors recommended having surgery now.
