I didn’t tag you today to argue just to bring validity to my point. It’s obvious there’s an age gap between us so our views differ. This is not a big deal and it’s time to move on.

If he returns to coaching, I’ll be shocked if it’s not in Dallas. I think he and Quinn returning as defensive coordinator would make for a championship-caliber combination.

He’s better suited concentrating on the defense. He’s a better DC than he is an HC and that’s been proven. Jerry will likely hand him the job if he moves on from McCarthy but it’s never worked promoting a coordinator to HC with the Cowboys. He promoted Campo to HC and he promoted Garrett and they both failed. Quinn would end up being just another puppet and probably wouldn’t last any longer than McCarthy. Some coordinators are just not cut out to be head coaches. Quinn is really good when his focus is on the defense.

If the OC would have ran a few more running plays with that lead then Falcons would have easily won that SB. IMHO

He could have but he didn’t. Blowing big leads was a huge problem for Dan Quinn as an HC. The head coach has to take responsibility for that.
