Yep. A complete sham. The worst part is Zeke is now just one incident away from missing a season or more.

Well, thats on him for his past track record of stupidity. Not much can be done there. But this farce, and being forever tainted as a woman beater, would kill his career. Nobody has ever recovered from it.

In all seriousness. SINCE THE LEAGUE FOUND EVIDENCE showing Zeke is guilty it should be handed over to authorities to put him behind bars.
From what I've heard, this came down to the investigators simply believing Tiffany Thompson over Zeke. Beyond that, they have no concrete evidence. The bad part of all this is that she has on multiple occasion been proven to be a vindictive liar going as far as to point to out to Zeke that because she is white they will believe her over him...and she was right!

Can he play while this lengthy court battle happens?

I think so. Several players like Brady did, along with the Starcaps litigants Pat Williams was one. Players have played while the case isn't heard. Wouldn't be much point if they couldn't.

Brady did. The judge will order a stay on the suspension until the legal proceedings end. Now that is if they can find a judge that will take it on. The NFL won last time so it is possible they might not find a judge willing to hear it. Now I kind of doubt that to an extent when you see what gets into federal courtrooms any more.

This thing looks worse and worse for the league all the time.

It really needs to go to court. Maybe then things will start to get fixed.

Not sure the NFL isn't correct in doing this. There has been no DV case brought against Elliott in a court of law, so this differs from the league giving access to evidence that has been presented in court. Elliott can choose to make the evidence public by fighting this, but it would be irresponsible of the league to do so. Of course, this suspension is irresponsible of the league, but releasing the findings would only strengthen any case Elliott has against the NFL because the information doesn't have legal backing.

If this gets into court they will be forced to defend that and it will get real interesting. Especially if they get HER on the stand.

this is a fight in PR as well as otherwise; and this looks real bad for the NFL there.

I don't know if it will come as a result of this sham "investigation" of Zeke or something in the future, but I look forward to the day that Gooddell is knocked off his pedestal and exposed as the joke that he is.

These arbitrary disciplinary tactics have been used for a decade; and eventually, powerful people are going to get tired of it.

So far, most of the outcry has been from fans or other people with no REAL influence. But Gooddell is treading on very thin ice with how he acts as if the NFL is untouchable and that his opinion is law.

God, what will he ever do when he's fired and can't steal $35million/year?!

This just gives Zeke's legal team more ammunition in court. The NFL really thinks they are untouchable and can do what they want; got news for you dudes; there Is always a judge out there that is willing to cross the line. and if this gets to court and the NFL is ordered to show everything, it will be a complete disaster for them.

Tom brady tried that and lost....

Elliott should release all the info he has access to including his phone records and get his side in the view of public opinion. Jerry also has said he has seen all the evidence, release it. Hell with what league office says.

So? One thing about courts is what happens in the past can be overturned NOW. Brady had a couple of things against him that Zek at this point does not

Brady by the phone thing and other incidents had show he was NOT cooperative. The NFL admits Zeke was.

Brady was caught lying about not knowing the ball guys names, etc. Claiming he had little contact with them which was shown false

you are missing the bigger picture. By refusing to show Zeke all the evidence against him as has been shown; by refusing to show the public all evidence then the league has basically convicted Zeke without due process.

Zeke I believe can file for slander/libel. Since the NFL is NOT the press/media they do NOT have the same 1st Amendment protection

The league is not obligated to show the public information about its investigation. The NFL is a private organization in terms of its governance, policies and rules. It is not under the Freedom of Information Act.

I do suspect that Elliott's team will release ALL the information it has to shame the NFL and Goodell.

I agree. And they need to keep hammering the fact that she was shown to lie and make threats against Zeke.

More than shame the NFL but force them to justify their action
