Florio says it right. Goodell selects an outcome and then works backward in an attempt to justify it.

He knew last year that he was going to hand out this ruling. It's why you don't need to attend any hearings. They were a mere formality.

This just gives Zeke's legal team more ammunition in court. The NFL really thinks they are untouchable and can do what they want; got news for you dudes; there Is always a judge out there that is willing to cross the line. and if this gets to court and the NFL is ordered to show everything, it will be a complete disaster for them.

This thing looks worse and worse for the league all the time.

It really needs to go to court. Maybe then things will start to get fixed.

I don't think so.

Goodell has power that everyone agreed he can have. He can do whatever he wants and this is all about making a statement because of all of their past goof ups.

Maybe an angle they could use to get his suspensions reduced is to say that he wasn't charged with Domestic Violence by the NFL, it was misconduct, and the 6 game suspension was too much for simple misconduct.

I live in an NFL city that is not Dallas, and as far as the court of public opinion goes, I think I have a good feel for what non-Cowboys fans are on this situation based on debates I have had with friends and colleagues. AT least in Green Bay anyways. Almost every person that I have had discussions with on the Zeke situation has been siding with the NFL and they feel he is guilty and deserves the suspension. This can be expected since the info they are receiving is mostly from the side of the alleged victim via the NFL. That being said, if the rest of the non-Cowboy country is experiencing what I am experiencing, it is going to be very hard for the NFL to back-off this suspension. Guilty or not, if the NFL reduces or eliminates the suspension at this point, I feel they are going to be getting some significant backlash from the public.

As a Cowboys fan, I don't like it at all.

This could get even uglier yet.

You keep thinking that.

you are missing the bigger picture. By refusing to show Zeke all the evidence against him as has been shown; by refusing to show the public all evidence then the league has basically convicted Zeke without due process.

Zeke I believe can file for slander/libel. Since the NFL is NOT the press/media they do NOT have the same 1st Amendment protection

Just like this joke appeal about to happen.

It's a worthless formality to precede a lengthy court battle.

Did they ever show the public how they knew Brady deflated footballs?

This isn't just a Cowboys issue. It's a league wide issue. It's been his M.O. since the new CBA.

You'll find a lot of hyperbole on fan forums but he really should be removed as commissioner.

Bad thing is the players did it to themselves...or the NFLPA should I say. They entered into the agreement that gave him virtually unlimited power in these situations.

I seem to recall Jerry being monumental on getting the deal done. That's kind of ironic.

The NFLPA in the last CBA were so fixated on the money that they pretty much ignored everything else and the owners not only ate their lunch but breakfast and dinner as well.
