Brees is a cracked shell of what he once was but if any defense can make him look like the old Drew its this one. Still...there is no Julio Jones on that roster and Jimmy Graham is gone. I'm more worried about their run game to be honest.

Me too,I am actually dreading it.the loss of McClain was worse than I thought.

Over 32% of people who go to NOLA.com (Times-Picayune website, New Orleans' primary newspaper) think the Cowboys will win

I'm so scared. Brees has just been lighting up the league so far this year with his 2 TD's, 2 picks, and 82 QB rating. We stand no chance.

Cowboys defense had 1 bad game and people are acting like they're the worst in the league. Hardy showed during the preseason that he still had it, and that was after not playing for a whole year.

2-2 a comin. Saints are desperate and home. We have Weeden.

LOL

I love this sentiment that because the Saints are "desperate" they'll magically transform into a good team.

Could someone explain to me how this phenomenon actually works?

Do their players actually become more talented overnight? Coaching staff more intelligent? Better team chemistry? More poise?

And when exactly does this "desperation" factor kick in?

On Friday, Saints coach Sean Payton said that the plan for Sunday night was to start Drew Brees at quarterback. Later in the day, the Saints made it official.

By listing Brees as probable with a right shoulder injury, the Saints have declared that Brees is a virtual certainty to be available for normal duty.

Some still believe that “probable” means that a player is only 75-percent likely to play. It doesn’t. While “questionable” means 50-50 and “doubtful” pegs the percentage at 25, “probable” is as close to 100 percent certain as a guy can be.

So look for Brees to suit up and play on Sunday night, as the Saints try to avoid falling to 0-4 and running their home losing streak to seven games.

Drew Breese is playing but our best QB is sitting, Matt Cassel. Why play games with this is beyond idiocy. Do you really think we go into the New England game and win after their BYE week to prepare for the Weeed.

Weeden's spent much more time in the system and you're dreaming if you think Cassel would've outplayed Weeden last week. Until he sucks, stick with Weeden.

I watched the no vs carolina game and luke M looked as good as or better than brees.
The whole game brees was on the sideline looking psychotic, lol licking his fingers every 5 seconds, and clapping when they broke huddle !
I have never seen a QB act like that when not playing. He truly loves playing.
So I figured then he would play if they let him.
At 0-3 and luke playing good I think it is stupid to let him play this soon. I think this is the same spot that he had the operation on.
So really he is stupid too cause if he isnt ready or healed up, he could make it worse.

Both teams are sort of equal, so should be a close game, either one could win.

You mean to tell me that Cassel couldn't do better than checking down to Dunbar? I mean is this a serious statement?

It's cute how simple you think the QB position is. Really, it is.

Here's a clue: when the safeties are playing deep, a check-down to a RB for a 10 yard gain is a good read and a good decision. Forcing the ball into coverage is a bad read and a bad decision.

If we win this game, I'll be back on team Kool-Aid, because unfortunately, I just don't see it happening... I just have a feeling this will be a rare game for the Saints where they almost look like the Brees led Saints of old... I really hope I'm wrong...

I swear, if I had some of these guys on my team, I'd bench them. If they're lucky. I might just cut 'em before they destroy the morale of my whole team.

But we're not on the team, none of us... If I'm in a competition, I would never concede defeat, nor go into it thinking I would surely lose... But we're not competing in the NFL, we're just fans evaluating things based on what our eyeballs see... And when my eyeballs see no Romo, no Dez, and an injured and lack-luster defense, I know it will be difficult for us to beat anybody at this point... So don't blame us for expecting to be torched by Tom Brady and the Patriots next week...

Luckily the players don't feel the same, they'll take the field with the attitude of "any given Sunday"... But there's a reason why they say it like that, "any given Sunday", it's because we could beat the Patriots without Romo, but it's highly unlikely, unless it happens to be one of those special "given Sundays"....

And I know we were talking about the Saints and not the Patriots, but if I can have a pessimistic attitude regarding the New England game, then why can't I also be pessimistic to a lesser degree when facing the Saints...

Actually no I never gave up. Im also realistic here. It would be a miracle if we are at 500 by the time Romo comes back.

I'm not sure you understand the characteristics of a fan giving up.
