PFT: Officially, Drew Brees is virtually certain to play

But we're not on the team, none of us... If I'm in a competition, I would never concede defeat, nor go into it thinking I would surely lose... But we're not competing in the NFL, we're just fans evaluating things based on what our eyeballs see... And when my eyeballs see no Romo, no Dez, and an injured and lack-luster defense, I know it will be difficult for us to beat anybody at this point... So don't blame us for expecting to be torched by Tom Brady and the Patriots next week...

Luckily the players don't feel the same, they'll take the field with the attitude of "any given Sunday"... But there's a reason why they say it like that, "any given Sunday", it's because we could beat the Patriots without Romo, but it's highly unlikely, unless it happens to be one of those special "given Sundays"....

And I know we were talking about the Saints and not the Patriots, but if I can have a pessimistic attitude regarding the New England game, then why can't I also be pessimistic to a lesser degree when facing the Saints...
You can be pessimistic every week if you want to be. I choose to believe until proven wrong. Just a difference in our approach I guess.

Cowboys need to win no matter who is QBing either team. 3-1 would be great under the circumstances.

Seriously. And at this point, I don't care how we win. 3-1 just feels so much better than 2-2. I'm fine getting ugly, grind it out type wins until the cavalry returns.

Would rather play against Brees the Cowboys have played some of their worst games the past 3 seasons against journeymen QBs.
