Browns edge rusher Myles Garrett was fined $25,000 for criticizing officials after a game against the Jaguars. That’s likely what prompted Micah Parsons on Wednesday to express little interest in talking about the lack of holding calls he’s gotten this season.

This is definitely the problem. At a certain point, the blame should fall on the player for not selling it enough. Micah either doesn't know or is too proud to flop

I think he's right in that it is an offensive game and the officiating is going to lean toward not calling penalties on defensive players like him that hamper the offense. However, I appreciate media putting more of a spotlight on this because it helps it get noticed how few calls he's getting, especially when holds by our offense have certainly been called. There needs to be balance, and as long as there is not, the officiating needs to be called out for that.

I don’t think most on the board remember the 2nd Giants game with Divito at quarterback. The Giants barely had 20 yards of total offense until they started holding on every play. The game was a blowout so nobody complained but the Giants got away with lots of crap that was not called.

sports in general has ALWAYS been seedy and controlled in this manner. Too much money rides on sporting events. Vegas controls and steers outcomes. Its a dirty well known secret. Follow the money. If Goodell were to announce changes and investigations into the refs I promise you the owners would replace him asap. We are stuck in this sham of a system. All we can do is hope one day we get real lucky.

But hey, Seattle did get called for an offensive holding penalty - just once. I think it was the last time an opposing offense was called for holding too. Amazing how disciplined every team is when they play Dallas.

The problem is Parsons is so quick and he gets to the QB so fast that the officiating is going to need to adjust. If you compare him to other elite pass rushers, you'll see that they all get held and there's few calls because they are so close to the QB. The refs will most likely call it if a player DOESN'T get there because they were held.
