This is a still shot. You cannot tell if something is holding without video because it is a penalty decided by motion. Shout it from the mountain tops.
Are you implying he was standing still and striking that pose with 2 players holding him around the neck area?

He needs flopping lessons from James Harden.
The Eagles are the best as pretending they were held. After every play they don't make their arms go up in the air and they spin around like they were put in the Jaws of Life during the play. I have always felt when players demonstrate like that, or after a pass when the receivers starts waving about PI, the last thing the refs should do is throw a flag. It encourages more fakery. The NFL is entering the realm of soccer histrionics. Refs should only call what they see with their own two eyes. A guy waving is not proof of a foul. Neither is a guy pointing to his face mask or a guy falling to the ground. If they do not see the actual foul committed then don't throw the flag no matter how much the player waves his arms or spins around. Some teams have designed PI plays where they look to draw a pass interference call. Faking a foul should be an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty IMO.

Pretty soon he's gonna start carrying flags and throwing them at the refs feet everytime he gets held. Would die laughing.

But yes to go as long as he has with no holding penalities is down right atrocious to league officiating.

Micah Parsons has gone 38 consecutive quarters without drawing a holding penalty

Published December 27, 2023 10:46 PM

Browns edge rusher Myles Garrett was fined $25,000 for criticizing officials after a game against the Jaguars. That’s likely what prompted Micah Parsons on Wednesday to express little interest in talking about the lack of holding calls he’s gotten this season.

Parsons then talked about the lack of holding calls he’s gotten this season.
This flat-out unbelievable that Parsons with the way his has manhandled some of his opponents hasn't drawn a holding penalty for that many quarters! Maybe it's time for Parsons to go Ape-sh@t on the field of play every time he feels he's getting held, this would force the television booth to show real time replays of all the penalties that aren't being called. The NFL would have a lot of explaining to do if viewers started calling and protesting their lousy officials.........

I've watched NFL football all of my life and still don't understand what a hold is, apparently.

It seems like, at least during Dallas games, the only time it is flagged is if a player is tackled or if you're caught with your hands underneath the shoulders on a bull rush.

He's also being double teamed which is an exception in the holding rules. Did you know that?
Cool.

Did you know the exception is only valid if the defender is in front of both offensive lineman? Once he splits the double team, or gets to the outside shoulder of either, it’s a hold.

Now look at that picture and tell me has Micah did either of those things which would make a holding call valid ..

Hint: He has done both.

This is definitely the problem. At a certain point, the blame should fall on the player for not selling it enough. Micah either doesn't know or is too proud to flop
I saw the title and wanted to see many post it would take to get to somebody blaming Micah for not getting holding calls. YOU SIR ARE THE WINNER!!!!!!

That won't work for the Cowboys because of the league's anti-Cowboys officiating policy. If anything, Parsons would be the first player in NFL history to ever be called for Unsportsmanlike Conduct for flopping, and of course that call would cost us a game on the final drive.

Dallas' recent history of getting jobbed by the officials on holding calls...

2017
https://www.bloggingtheboys.com/201...ink-there-is-an-nfl-conspiracy-against-dallas

"It’s been 33 quarters since a holding call was made against the offensive line of the Cowboys opponents. That’s eight games. That’s seems almost absurdly impossible in today’s NFL. You could call holding on every other pass play in the NFL, yet the zebras can’t manage to do it once in eight games for the benefit of the Cowboys? It’s almost enough to make you believe in some kind of conspiracy."

2018

https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profo...had-holding-penalty-on-pass-play-since-week-2

"The Cowboys are aware they have gone nine weeks without opponents being penalized for holding on a pass play. That’s 325 passing plays if you’re keeping track at home."

Of course I know. I've posted the rules several times. But in this still shot, where do you see the material restriction of Parsons' path to the ball, making something a hold? Are the OLinemen retracting their arms, extending them more, or about to step to the side after this frame? If you can't answer those questions, you too need video. I haven't even opined whether it is or isn't a hold. I'm just saying a still picture tells you nothing just like a DB's hand on a receiver's shoulder in a still shot doesn't make it PI.
