Blogging the boys article on Kraft....his athletics on par with Pitts last yr. FCS level of play pushes him down...3rd.
Same school as D.Goedert Eagles......training there.

Washington’s ceiling is the reason he is being mentioned despite his experience. Anyone who drafts him in the 1st is projecting what they think he could be, not what he has shown thus far. It helps that he has the potential to block like another lineman.

And anyone who says he will be a top receiving TE is just guessing. He may end up being the best ever but there is a big gap that hasn’t been demonstrated...TE is a nuanced position that’s not easy to master at the highest level. The way some folks want to simplify the complexities of these positions is puzzling. We might want to pump the brakes on him dominating league until we know a little more. Or maybe we should just consider LeBron in the 7th.

Calling it now Washington is going to be the pick at 26, his blocking is elite, will be like adding a sixth lineman. He gives this offense too much flexibility, even if he is just a minor threat in the passing game

I would trust Washington to be a good player more then Tyler, Byron Jones or Taco. Most recent players the Cowboys picked in the twenties. Tyler would be a top 6 pick in a redraft, Byron became an all pro cornerback, and Taco busted. Washington is a higher rated prospect then all three. I actually think he is a safe pick. Instantly improves your offensive line and completes the tight end room.

Give me a TE with one attribute that stands out
Size of Washington
Speed of Musgrave
Athletism of Kraft
Routes of Kinkaid
......something that can create mismatches for a OC
Don’t need carbon copies

I am not against the pick but i hope they dont force the pick and leave good prospects like Forbes and Mcdonald still on the board.

he is very raw and has a very limited route tree at this time so he is INDEED a project. Tremendous potential, blocks like Erik William on speed, but very raw as a receiver.
Raw as a WR but only in the sense of route running…catching the ball he’s a bit ridiculous and makes defenders look foolish. Not sure he’s really coverable with a decent passer and some chemistry. Looks as a TE like Derrick Henry did as a RB…just a man among boys.
