PFT: Police want to talk to Pacman about Georgia Shooting *Updated*

You've gone to this; what you've posted above (talking about all players)...

from this....

(Talking about Pac-Man and talking about how Pac-Man does need to change his life and can't go to strip clubs- as if I was implying he doesn't need to change his behavior/change his habits).

Now, if you are not too busy, can you make up your mind on what I am saying, for me....

Either I was talking about PacMan or players in general.

You don't get it both ways.

I'm talking about a vast number of players who get caught up in trouble and how many times it involves these type of places. It is the reason why so many coaches warn players about these clubs. You want to play navie which is fine but people who have been around this world a bit longer than you do understand. So please continue with your fantasy world maybe one day reality will hit catch up to you.

What a , if these reports are true he needs to be banned from the NFL.

You can bet Goodell will pull the plug on him if that's true. Take out the trash!

Yes, I want to play navie.

Is it in my fantasy world?

I was going to say unbeliveable, but I guess it really is.

Question, do you still get drug tested if you are suspended ?

Not totally shocked by it if it's true. We'll see how this plays out.

Guys suspended for drug use get tested. I don't know if a guy suspended for other reasons does. I doubt they would be part of random testing, but I bet they would get tested once they apply for reinstatement into the league.

Have to wait and see how this pans out. However I hope it was him, and in Georgia as I don't want him coming back and hanging around WVU like he talked about.

I firm believer that he cant be this stupid...not possible....good chance that any black guy with money and dreads at strip club is Pacman Jones.....hey just saw a guy with dreads driving an escalade outside my work .....Pacman is rolling through McCordsville with no respect for johnny law.....I need actual evidence from now on to believe anything about this guy....

For now I agree with this. I won't rush to judgement because there are no facts and the media rushes to get the "story" all the time. We'll see.

Just saying...remember what happened to the falsely accused player a couple weeks ago.

These guys are targets.

There is something to that yes.

Last week, I argued that going to strip clubs per se wasn't a real problem. These guys are adults with tons of cash and maybe not so much time for, umm, courtship, so they are just doing what many guys would do in that situation. Hanging out with some "accessible" women.

But a guy like Pacman who is notorious for getting in and being in trouble falls in a different class. He is always in trouble. So whenever trouble starts, he's the first suspect. Isn't this why Goodie asked to to NOT go to strip clubs anymore?

Police want to talk to "Pacman" after shootout

Associated Press, Updated 26 minutes ago

Suspended NFL player Adam "Pacman" Jones was being sought by police for questioning about a shooting early Monday involving members of his entourage after a fight at an Atlanta strip club.

Jones, a cornerback for the Tennessee Titans on suspension following a melee and shooting at a Las Vegas strip club, his group and three other people got into a fight, apparently over a woman, at a club around 4 a.m., officer Ariel Toledo said.

After everyone involved left the strip club - the three people in one car, and Jones and his entourage in three other cars - someone in Jones' group shot at the car, and the others returned fire, Toledo said.

Toledo said Jones was not present when the shots were fired.

"We believe he knows some of his entourage who were involved in the shooting," Toledo said. "On himself, we do not have any charges on him. He wasn't there when the shooting occurred."

One person who was outside the vehicles and not involved in the dispute was injured by debris in the shooting and was treated by emergency medical technicians, Toledo said.

Manny Arora, Jones' attorney, said he was trying to find out what had happened from the police, but he understood Jones was sought only as a witness to the incident.

Authorities have also been investigating what role Jones had in a February shooting outside a Las Vegas club that left a bar employee paralyzed and two other people wounded.

Attorney Robert Langford said no evidence tied Jones to the shooting, but an aide to Clark County District Attorney David Roger said it could take several days to decide if there is enough information to file charges against Jones and two friends.

The Las Vegas allegations were among a series of arrests and encounters with police that led NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to suspend Jones for one season.

Jones agreed last week not to appeal the suspension. The 23-year-old player could be reinstated after 10 games for good behavior if he adheres to conditions set by Goodell and is not arrested again. Missing the entire season would cost him his salary of nearly $1.3 million.

Involved or not, neither bodes well for his future reinstatement.

Maybe at the combine they should have some sort of common sense Wonderlic.

I don't think Goodell ever asked him not to go to strip clubs. That was a self-imposed ban -- that Pacman never really stuck by. This does show incredibly poor judgment, but I don't think poor judgment is sufficient to keep a person from their livelihood.

There wouldn't be an NFL. :laugh2:

Agreed.

If he was involved in any capacity, it shows that he's still hanging around the same parasites that he was prior to getting suspended.

And going to the same places where trouble seems to follow.

And that shows that he hasn't learned a damn thing.

Agreed.

He needs to stay away from these guys....

There was some report of this -- It may have been self-imposed but the report was that in that discussion Goodell asked him when he last went to a strip club -- Pacman's response? Last night.

Stone cold idiot.

The poor judgement isn't sufficient to keep him out of the league. I'm sure lots of players use poor judgement all the time. We all do. Pacman's problem is that when he uses poor judgement it often ends up reflecting poorly on the league. You can bet that every time Pacmans name gets in mentioned on Sportscenter with anything negative attached that Goodell is throwing another shovel of dirt on his career.

this seriously has to be a joke, or hoax....

if true, pacman moves to top of stupidest people alive list.

they need to test his dna for signs of rampant inbreeding if this proves true.
