If they keep DMac, are they going to have to change the oline blocking for every play that he is in the game? They had to change last year because he can't run behind a ZBS, so I see no reason that he should be on the roster this year at all.

I too see no reason to keep him. He offers nothing unique vs Elliott and Morris and he's on the last legs of his career. If we can get a late pick or decent player for him we should send him packing. I'm not going to say Jackson is better or anything but he is different and his best play is still ahead of him. To me DMC isn't even a question the q is really Jackson or Dunbar?

Take someone's job? Who's job will he be taking?
It's his job and only an injury is what saves Darius Jacksons temporary position on this roster.
I've seen nothing to assume Darius Jackson won the job. In fact everything points to Jackson holding a spot until McFadden is ready to return fully healed.
Why would the Cowboys hold onto McFadden in hopes that someday in the middle of the season that he hasn't even played in he has trade value.

Based off of your logic I guess Mark Sanchez is our QB and Romo doesn't have a job.
Please tell me you thought this through.
Really you are comparing Mcfadden to Romo and Sanchez to Romo? Are you related to him or something. Your infatuation of Mcfadden is comical

Is there a reason why DMC is a topic at this moment,,,he won't see the field for at least 6 weeks if at all...so why is he being talked about like the Boys are games planning the offense around him...
Some posters have an unhealthy obsession with wanting him to be off this team.
Its strange really. The Dude is a cowboy and cowboys fans act like he is our sworn enemy.
The guy is an average player who shouldn't even need to contribute.

I am comparing the situation yes. Apparently you cant seem to figure out what someone is talking about when you have to think 1 level deep.
Sorry to confuse you. It seems to happen often.
Carry on.

Because he represents the loser mentality of 'good enough'....... we don't need these type of players eating up cap space and roster spots(not yet)...... he has already been replaced by 3 players with a future and Dunbar with more flexibility...... McFadden is the Barry Switzer of RBs, JJones trying to prove he is a real GM...... thankfully he was overruled and we drafted EE

The problem with your theory is Jerry wasn't overruled. Jerry was 100% on board with Zeke. He wanted Zeke so much that he wouldn't risk trading down 2 spots and possibly losing Zeke. He would have had the ammo to move up and get Paxton Lynch in the 1st if he would have risked losing Zeke by moving down a few spots

There is a MMQB article explaining all of this if you prefer to have real knowledge over assumptions.

There is a very good chance that Darren "good enough" McFadden will be back on the field for us this year.

Over-ruled in going cheap after letting DMurray walk and using a RBBC.......remember he fired Switzer as well once it was obvious he was in over his head....it was a failure relying on guys like Randle, McFadden, CMike and Turbin..... like putting retreads on a Corvette with our OL

It wasn't not having enough ammo to move up for Lynch. Reports were Seattle agreed with Denver and didn't let jerry have a counter offer

Maybe that's why Dallas said "No thanks" to a trade with Denver for Sanchez and then signed him when he was cut. :D

Oh so you are changing what he was overruled on now?
I thought you said he didn't want Zeke and was overruled....

As far as going cheap and letting Murray walk for a committee, every indication is that Stephen Jones was the guy behind going cheap, not Jerry.

Read it for yourself.
He could have moved back and picked up an extra draft pick that could have been used to trade up to get Lynch.
Or you can believe what you want. http://mmqb.si.com/mmqb/2016/05/01/nfl-draft-dallas-cowboys-war-room-jerry-jones-peter-king
He didn't trade a 2nd or 3rd which we already had. Believe what you want but it says it in the article you posted. They didn't need to trade down to get Lynch, if jerry really wanted him we had plenty to get Lynch. So take that some where else I'm done talking

SEA insisted on a 1st so they kept the 5 year option... we didn't have a 1st

Besides who cares if we got Lynch or not. Is anybody trading him and Dak straight up. Not only that we didn't use any picks and we're able to keep other players.

Lynch or Jaylon, Collins and Dak
