How, then, can you be hoping that Jerry gets crushed? As a fan, shouldn’t you also want to ensure that a chance at a title isn’t jeopardized? Or does your hatred of Jerry actually trump your love of the Cowboys?

There is a plausible alternate scenario in which Jones believes Goodell dropped the hammer on Elliott because of Jones' opposition to the commissioner's extension and/or desire for a less lucrative deal.
