I don't get what PFT is so upset about moving free agency. What better time to have a distraction from reality. Not one person needs to be in physical contact with another person to get through free agency

That makes a lot of sense. Just work the phones. Proceed best you can. Each team is in the same situation. If you wait this virus out, there would be literally just a very few weeks left before training camp is scheduled to begin.

Not true. A lot more goes on than you would think, including physicals for every player before being signed.

You also now have team executives coming into the office, which means you have to have all the administrative people coming in, security, etc. Plus I'm sure a lot of players will want to see the facilities/team reps before committing years of their lives to a team.

1000% ......no idea why free agency. The draft I can understand coz teams need more time meet/evaluate college players they've never met. Plenty of information on every NFL free agent already avail.

Can it? Probably, aside from the physicals. Will it? Doubtful. I would bet anything teams are at their facilities today.

I'm not hoping anything gets pushed back, I'm dying for some type of sports news, I just dont see teams changing their ways. After all these are stubborn type a personalities, players and team reps both.

Sure would suck to sign a free agent to a $100M contract to only find out when you meet them they need hip surgery.

unfortunately par for the course here. our own FAs won't get surgery until they get new contracts.....
