yes I know that.

My point was, We only get these types of rumours after an eagles loss. The source of this is probably philly sports radio.

Super Spare Sal Palantonio wrote a 2 page column on how mcnabb was on his way out and how he stinks etc.....

But then he is perfect against the lions and no one said anything.

Now they lose because they are extremely banged up, missing key players all over the field and what do you know, Now reid is going to quit..

Andy Reid is in the perfect situation in Philly, he runs everything and he has a good team.

He may be asked to give up the GM duties at the worst, but 4 games in, and rumors running amuck about being fired or stepping down - either way - seems a little far-fetched to me. To me, Reid's the rare exception to the rule that HCs should never be GMs in the NFL. That core group he put together has one a lot of games the last 6 years.

Hmm, Norv Turner may need a HC job next year. I think the Eagles job would be the best place for him to land. :D

If he was to be fired or if he stepped down I dont think it would be a big deal. He had his chances to win the big one and it didnt happen.

It aint happening anytime soon if ever.... he may need a break and start anew someplace else in a year or two.

McNabb will some teams backup in a year or two. Kolb to start sometime this year.

JMO. No one has to agree if they don't want to. Just sharing.[/QUOTE]

Great post Hos. My wife stays at home 3 days a week with our girls and if my company would pay me a little more we could make 5.

I really hope and pray it makes a difference.

With Marty Mornhinweg already assuming much of the offense, Reid’s a lame-duck coach at this point, just poking around on the sidelines to keep his mind off of his woes. The likely scenario is inserting Mornhinweg in the coach’s seat so Reid can ride out the rest of his contract as Executive Vice President of Football Operations, leaving him more time with his fractured family.
Yikes! I do feel bad for the guy, and family always needs to be top priority. That being said, from a fans perspective, I sure like the idea of "head coach Mornhinweg" in Philadelphia. He'll make Rich Kotite look like a stone cold genius.

I don't deny that time and attention help. It is why my wife is a stay at home Mom rather than out earnign more money for us. She would very much like to own and run her own Christian book store, but she won't until our kids are out of the house.
Great comment. Don't want to hijack the thread into this direction, but my wife also stays home with our kids though clearly we'd be in a much better situation financially if she was working. It's important in life to have priorities straight. If his family is truly fractured as it has been reported and he steps aside, one would have to be ignorant to criticize him for that.

Having said that again, from a fans perspective, I really hope that their organization doesn't use Reid's family situation as a crutch for their woes this season. They're clearly a team on the decline with aging veterans and poor draft picks, and are on the cusp of a long rebuilding cycle.
