Crazy to think that fans have been screaming for Tomlin to be fired despite never having a losing season
I mean I get that part. Its just like here. Well...he at least has won a SB so I guess it bought him some time. But we all wanted McCarthy gone after 3 12 win seasons.....and rightfully so. They are no different. They got smacked up by the Ravens just like we did the 49ers and Packers. They are tired. I get it. But they don't understand the real issue is the team just isn't that good.

Broncos way and I mean WAY overpaid for Russ and crippled multiple drafts. And massively overpaid him. Then gave him away and still continued to pay him this year. Mismanaged that whole mess and Payton was smart enough to let him go.

But look where they already are and could be after a W today. Most thought they would be lucky to win 4-5 games this year. I don't think they will beat Buffalo, but Payton should win HC of the year and the fans in Denver have to be damn near giddy about the future.
Contrast that to the Cowboys. None, absolutely none of what Payton accomplished there would’ve been accomplished here.

There comes a time where you can't just keep running it back over and over again...regardless of how successful the coach was a long time ago. Both sides need a change of scenery, except the Steelers don't like firing head coaches. If the Steelers rebuild then Tomlin isn't the coach for it. If they keep him, they will be stuck in purgatory and the same results will keep happening every year

18 years as Steelers HC. Playoff record 8-11, 2 SB appearances with 1 win. Has not won a playoff game since 2016. In a "what have you done lately" league I think it's time for him to move on.

I mean seriously...?
Other than they won their last Super Bowls some time ago is the only silimilarity to me.

Tomlin is a no nonsense culture changer who demands accountability and respect who Jerry could never run over.

Is this same description what yall think McFraud is...?
LOL

i mean...
Well, everyone's got an opinion I guess.

But I forgot, cuz McFraud and Payton are the same here with many as well.

Too funny.

Tomlin is vastly more interesting with a mic in front of him than Jerry. So, that’s a ”no” as far as him ever coming to Dallas.

i would take mike tomlin here in a heartbeat.
excellent coach.
talent level is not what it used to be.
yet he's never had a losing season there if i heard tirico right a few sunday night's ago.
he could coach the cowboys anytime he wanted if i were jerry.

That young Justin Field has zero feel for the passing game, ..WRs at least get involved in pass game with Russell.

Fields would be another athletic Trey Lance and just be a running QB, on every down ... Tomlin tried to bring out best in what he limitedly had in Russell Wilson .

Would you be happy with 6 straight playoff losses?

Honestly it probably is time for Pittsburgh and Tomlin to go their separate ways. Tomlin is an excellent HC, but that team really needs a commitment to the offensive side of the football, both from the GM and then also from a coaching staff committed to making the development of a new QB top priority. Of their top 10 cap hits I believe only 1 of them is on the offensive side of the football. Tough to win in this league with that big of a split unless your defense is truly elite.
