I think he'll come back after 6 if things fall apart. Hopefully they don't and he comes back 100%
I also broke my clavicle playing football (diving for an interception just above the turf with the receiver riding my back). No surgery needed, out 6 weeks. It hurt like hell, even breathing hurt, the first few days were the worst.
Except that doc is not the only one saying it. Romo's decision to not have surgery is not the fastest way to get back on the field.
What did it feel like 6 weeks later? Were you timid?
Except that doc is not the only one saying it. Romo's decision to not have surgery is not the fastest way to get back on the field.
And where did you do your orthopedic residency or are you just regurgitating what you have heard others say without any knowledge yourself all the while demeaning a guy that has broken his body repeatedly for the team. That's what I thought.
Are you saying one has to be a certified expert on a subject matter to pass on information on that subject that is being said on TV? No, that's what I thought. Not sure why you see anything demeaning in my previous comment, but some folks do choose to see into things what ever they want to rather than letting the words just mean what they mean.
My first ever Cowboys game was in St. Louis (2008?) when Brad Johnson started over an injured Romo. I was pretty bummed too, and they lost to the hapless Rams which really sucked.
I think he was alluding to the fact that you were accepting what some doctor on TV said as gospel, as opposed to the Team doctors who actually have all the medical info about the injury, to base their decision on.
If they felt that surgery would be best then they would have went that route. If Tony thought he could get on the field faster then he would have chosen the surgery, no doubt in my mind...
Except that doc is not the only one saying it. Romo's decision to not have surgery is not the fastest way to get back on the field.
The second sentence comes across as definitive. It suggest that Romo chose the slower healing choice for whatever reason. You could very well be correct, but we just have to hope they made the right decision. It's 8 weeks either way.
