Dumb fans do nothing but sit around a burn barrel and whine...when redeveloping is just getting started; a combine that kicks off Friday; and Free Agency in two weeks.

Talk about poor representation, and their side is all volunteer.

So what if they don't like some of the changes...but change is coming, no, not all of that is dumb or will be bad.

Agree with the article that Gregory has to assume mucho responsibility.

But at the same time I wonder about the support-network supplied by both the Cowboys and Gregory's agent.

Agree....

Where were the people who was supposed to be watching him? You can't tell me someone didn't know what was going on....that hippy lettuce does give off a certain aroma.

Pretty hard to hide.

Which should throw up another flag. Either he is hidding the fact he was smoking it....or the Cowboys knew about it....and didn't do anything about it until now.

This whole situation just sickens me as a die hard fan. At some point you just have to look into the mirror and decide if I want to continue to be a fan of this BS. It's getting to that point people.....:mad::mad:

The team deals with the truth, but doesn't hide it. They attempt to protect their own players.

Blame games completely aside, the talent of Gregory deserves an earnest try to salvage...looking back:

  1. "Just 24 years old."

"A pass rusher with some good raw ability."

"Stage 3 substance abuse, the next violation gets him a year suspension."

"Selfish player who can't put down the pipe."

The player I just described was Von Miller, two years ago...

They forgot this part

2011 - 11.5 sacks
2012 - 18.5 sacks

"Some good raw ability" - No, Miller was one of the best linebackers in the league by the time he was 24. Randy Gregory is simply a high draft who has yet to produce with off the field issues. This is not someone I think the Cowboys should be giving multiple chances to. Another screw up by him, it's time to fill his roster spot with someone who produces.

Then follow another team who has no players with drug problems.

Addictive personalities and drug dependencies are very hard for most people to kick
if they have those traits in their DNA. Just look at alcohol, tobacco, etc. which
makes my case. Some people no matter what help is offered just can't stop
once the craving takes hold. Unfortunately for the Cowboys, another potential
player is heading down the wrong path and there may be no way to redeem him
to be trusted by the Team. I hate this for the young man but, the Cowboys should
have known that this was a strong probability and thus passed on him. He obviously
craves the weed more than his football career at this point and just like others (Josh Gordon)
may never be able to make it in the reality of the real world. Sad!!!

If he really does have clinical anxiety, then it's no joke. I've known people with anxiety, and they've done worse than smoking up.

However, if he really does have clinical anxiety, they make actual medication for that.

Valid point, which is why I do not necessarily buy the idea that he has to smoke marijuana to cope.

He could get one of those anxiety service dogs and get over it.

We're locked in until Gregory is a train wreck.

Honestly I'd cut him. I have 0% trust in this guy

I agree. Especially since the next time caught is supposed to be a 10-game ban.

I really don't buy into this anxiety deal.

He supposedly failed the test 4 times. I could see if it was an anxiety issue that he might fail it 4 times over say a 5 year period....even a 2-year period. But in less than a year?

Sorry, I don't buy it. Cut him and move on.

We have a zero tolerance policy. One strike and you lose your job. Really easy to abide by. Very, very few people ever cross the line.

Seems the more chances you give someone the more likely they will abuse those chances.

This is strike 4
I wouldn't cut him. Knee jerk reactions sound good online but the reality is he has talent and you have invested in him so you keep trying to get a return on that investment
Gregory may very well be a lost cause and that's sad for the kid but he has no one to blame but himself

Maybe he was just having anxiety about getting tested. Lol
I don't buy the anxiety problem causing you to get high. Just an excuse

I'm sure in today's society, it's someone else's fault other than Gregory.

you get high because you want to. there are a lot of ways to deal with stress and anxiety - something like this is just a bad way to do it.
