The NFL is a private club with 32 corporations as it's members. You have to be approved to enter into that private club and you can be voted out of that private club. Who can join a private club is not regulated by federal government. DeShaun Watson is an employee of one of these corporations. His employment is regulated by federal government. They could collude and black ball DeShaun, but he could sue them for that.

I'm not disputing rule of law but the crux of this issue for me is that we have an organization that has ties to our military and law enforcement at all kinds of levels, they have a sweet deal with congress to bypass antitrust laws, and it's been rammed down my throat for over a decade that this sport is synonymous with national identity.

My saying Dan Snyder getting $5B is not a good thing doesn't mean I advocate anarchy or aspire to his position but it does make me question the system producing these types of results.
