I don’t really have a dog in this fight, but I’m going to weigh in on Jerry. Jerry screwed things up after the SB years pretty badly, but part of that was due to the salary cap. I would say for about 10 years there after our SB run was in large part due to Jerry’s meddling and poor personnel decisions. Coaching and staff.

But Jerry has done a ton for the league. He has also done a ton for the Cowboys. It’s hard to run a successful franchise in the NFL if the team isn’t profitable. And it is definitely profitable.

Jerry and Co have really received a raw deal from the league over the past 20 years. The anti-Cowboys bias has been terrible. From officiating to punishment for Cowboys players to violations of salary caps that didn’t exist to the Roy Williams rule. It’s been rampant for 20 plus years.

Many people blame Jerry for that. I don’t. Snyder may be a DB but he has also been treated like a stepchild by the league. The Skins received the worst beat down from the league due to violating a salary cap that didn’t exist.

The league needs to be very careful not to lob a nuke at Danny Boy. The fallout may get all of them.

That's fine and I can respect you knowing him personally and why you have a better opinion of him...but spoiled fans? Really?

Waiting going on 27 years for any kind of a championship run and spending thousands of dollars on tickets, travel, merchandise and emotional investment all those years while making the value of the franchise what it is qualifies us as spoiled?

Certainly his business acumen is beyond reproach but this is where the tire meets the road and is the only real question that needs to be asked.

Do you agree or disagree that his absolute mandate of insisting on being the GM is because he would rather have the credit for winning another Super Bowl rather than winning one without the credit because God forbid, if somebody did, it would validate his failure as the GM? Jerry has even admitted that he would probably have fired himself as a GM years ago but that never stopped him from the status quo.

You're right, it's not easy to win a championship but you also know it should not be impossible to even get to a conference championship going on 27 years. There is and always has been a flaw with the organization since Jimmy and there is only one constant.

Whether you know him or not. Whether you like him personally or not. Whether he has created the most successful sports franchise in the entire world or not. This is the only question that needs to be answered and there really is only one answer and it is for that selfish reason that has caused such a monumental loss of emotional attachment to the team many of us have loved our entire life.

Liking Jerry because you know him is fine. Ignoring the truth and then blaming fans for being spoiled is not. Even Jerry would agree with that.

But then again...please...just ask him.

It is his franchise, not his team. He doesn't own the players.

I'm simply saying that any success by the Cowboys is in spite of the fact that Jerry Jones is the GM. As far as having any talent or abilities beyond administrative, Jerry Jones is a complete fraud.

When you look at the 20 to 30 years of prior experience most GM's have at being players or scouts at various levels of an organization you will see that they rose through the ranks based on merit

What is really sad is when you read the profiles of other GM's and compare them to Jerry's profile on the Cowboys web page.

Somewhere in the profile of eacg GM is a paragraph that details prior success at each level. He started with some franchise as an intern scout, then senior scout. He was promoted to area scout as a result of the team's success.Tbis was repeated as Assistand Director, Director, and Assistant GM, for example.

You find no such accolades in Jerry's profile.

Instead you get a bunch of trash hyping his stadium,, the value of the franchise,, and the foundation he created for tax and PR purposes.

Whatt is really sad is reading about his lame t that he can't simply buy championships like everything else. He still can't wrap his mind around the fact that the NFL features a competitive sport and success must be earned by ability and merit.

I read your posts often and you typically make some good, logical points. Linking a realistic assessment of Jones's incompetence to my self respect in a poor attempt at criticism is beneath you.

I've had fans of other teams (mostly the Giants) tell me they wished they had an owner like Jerry. I think a lot of fans like his passion for the players and the game.
