Yeah, Romo is throwing missiles.

Now, can he take a hit from a Romo-seeking missile? That's the REAL issue.

That's laughable. Romo has been a top 10 or better QB for years and is known to push himself to get better each off season.
Why the laughable comment? You don't agree it's competition from his own roster that's making him hit the weight room and get his body ready?

It seems the only one laughing here is you.

I agree, competition pushes everyone. Guys who have it easy, never ever had it rough can get lackadaisical sometimes, of course unless you're winning super bowls, then you don't need to be pushed.

This isn't rocket science, or even a "new" thing. When you suffer the injuries he has, you make changes to your core and muscles. There could be reasons that this wasn't done after prior injuries, only he and his doctors and the team know that stuff.
He's been on a specially formulated and regular core-strength training routine for 2 1/2 years now.
If he wanted to extend his career he had to go on it after the first back surgery.
That's when he also gave up golf....probably one of the few NFL QBs that doesn't golf now. Kind of ironic. lol

Those saying he never worked out much before haven't been paying attention to all of the trainer and coaches comment these past 2-3 years.
It was just primarily targeted core strength stuff. 2-3 hours...every single day except on mandated off days.

And then when critics they say it ("doesn't work out") with certainty, they really look foolish.

wow read the comments on that page.
most dont want romo back.
The telling thing is dez saying romo has lost some weight like it is a good thing, and last week it was tony in weight room, which makes me
Wonder why Tony didnt do these things before ??
I think all this has motivated even tony, which he obviously needed.
That's just horse crap. You don't know what you're talking about.
He's had a core trainer for 2-3 years now. Apparently everyone on the planet knows this except for you.

Competition either brings out the wimp or the warrior. So far, Romo's looking like a warrior. I've said it all along, he needed to be pushed earlier in his career.
He wasn't pushed as an UDFA? There's a reason he sat for three years.

Having said that, I like that Romo's grinding it out to return. A little comp never hurt anyone.

The weigh comment was a joke in correlation with the "Abs" comment.

And he's probably in the weight room more cause he broke his back..................JMO, of course.

Serious question.. Why is this a constant question on here as if that's an explainable thing?

To me, that's such a duh type of question. Absolutely no one, in the organization or out, can say with any type of certainty whether he can take a hit that won't torque him into football oblivion.

I'm asking you, because I know you have good sense. lol

He was relaxing on the bench watching Cheerleaders with no expectations. Pure luck that he got his chance, like a lot of guys. He made the best of his opportunities.

For all this talk about losing team chemistry, we know for a fact Dez doesn't care who is at QB. He'll be praising them.

Really annoys me, with all the flaws Dez may have, that they say he's not a team player.
...and he's such a cutie.
His locker room interviews yesterday were charming. Especially the shoe segment. He doesn't have the media skills that Dak has but I enjoy Dez being Dez and watching him do his best not to cuss or reveal any secrets.

Key word is "more". For someone to suggest that a footbal player of Tony's caliber just started lifting weights and working out because he's being pushed by Dak is foolish.
