Over the past 3-4 seasons there has been more of a sense of urgency in Tony Romo when it comes to winning a championship.

Prior to that I don't think he quite comprehended how quickly a career is over and how few opportunities the average player has to win a championship.

Before, there were comments to the effect that losing a playoff game wasn't as devastating as others made it seem. There were short beach vacations during a playoff bye.

Time is running out or it may already have. When he finally began to understand what was really at stake, time and stamina began to run out on his body. He is now on outside, looking in, hoping for an opportunity that can only come with an injury or a sudden lack of productivity creating multiple losses.

If he is called upon, he will be given this chance, one chance left before leaving this team and changeing the signature moment most NFL fans immediately recall when asked.

Can't help yourself, can you? Didn't read the title?

Anyways, good for Romo! Everything is sounding like he's getting closer and closer to game shape, tip-top shape, and he still has that arm. Gonna be very interesting to see if Jerruh can help himself or not lol

He was relaxing on the bench watching Cheerleaders with no expectations. Pure luck that he got his chance, like a lot of guys. He made the best of his opportunities.

yeah he spent 3 seasons fixing his side arm throwing motion and a low release point.

He must have been Bill Parcell's pet I guess.

Posts like this is why fewer and fewer people take you seriously.

Reading these "Romo needed a push" are you people serious? You are talking about the guy who with out him we would have had years and years of last year. It's truly amazing how people forget who the backbone of this team has been for the last ten years. Crappy Wrs for years, crappy O line for years, crappy Rbs for years and crappy coaching for years. Romo don't need any ones push. If Dak had crapped the bed Romo would be the first guy to go to war half dead to support the team. I for one am just glad we aren't in a situation where Romo has to play at any less than 100 percent for a change. Thank you Dak.

wow read the comments on that page.
most dont want romo back.
The telling thing is dez saying romo has lost some weight like it is a good thing, and last week it was tony in weight room, which makes me
Wonder why Tony didnt do these things before ??
I think all this has motivated even tony, which he obviously needed.

Yeah I believe he got comfortable.

Now that comfortability has packed up and left

For those with agendas in the media and fan base that think he said this because he wants Romo back.. go watch the post game interview with Dez against the Eagles. The chemistry in this team has never been better.

Really annoys me, with all the flaws Dez may have, that they say he's not a team player.

Agreed. Dez could not possibly be more about the team. It's annoying to hear otherwise.

Please point out they. Please indicate where you hear otherwise.

I see and read here, and have said, he is immature at times and makes poor decisions. But I do not recall anyone saying he isn't a team player.

So enlighten me, please. Who's they?

Or I guess i could ask, like Sykes, in the Wild Bunch.

"They"? Why, they is the plain and fancy they, that's who "they" is! Caught you, didn't they? Tied a tin can to your tail. Led you in and waltzed you out again. Oh my, what a bunch! Big tough ones, huh? Here you are with a handful of holes, a thumb up your butt, and a big grin to pass the time of day with. They? Who the hell is "they?"

Were you sleeping through the 2013 season?

You know, when Dez was yelling on the sideline and the entire media pushed it out that he was being a distraction, the next T.O.?

They as in media. They as in casual fans who, to this day, calls Dez a "diva". There, enlightened. I didn't think this would need to be specified on a board that heavily follows this team. But, here we are...

Just so we can get a little taste of what Dez was dealing with, here ya are.

Hell, just a few days ago they have stated Dez has been begging and "pestering" Dak to force him the ball.

Was Michael Irvin a bad team mate?

Seems he did the exact thing Dez did. There is even video of him going off in a Super Bowl.

Swinging at one in the dirt, my friend.

Wasn't what you were asking. You asked who "they" were, I showed you.

Also, show me where Dez has specifically got in Romo's ear and complained about not getting the ball especially while our team was succeeding. Irvin did this, and Aikman had to put him in his place. Show me specifically, in a big game, Dez lined up where he wasn't supposed to just so he could steal a big moment from someone else. Irvin did this, it was a "me" decision. HE believed he deserved a special treatment and the spotlight. Irvin was no TO, but he was borderline diva.

Dez may have some maturity issues, but he's more of a team player than even Irvin was. That 90s teams success clouds a lot of the personalities that would be considered locker room cancers today.

I think he’s been losing some weight and I think I saw some abs on him,” Bryant told NFL Network. “Romo’s been throwing some missiles out there.”

It remains to be seen when Romo is healthy enough to be active on a Sunday — and whether he’ll be the starter or Prescott’s backup when he does suit up for a game. But it’s at least an encouraging sign that Romo is looking good on the practice field.

Throwing missiles? Impressive. I believe our US military could use his talent post haste.
