It makes perfect sense. There were ***** there. There were other white supremacists there. There were antifa there. There were BLM there. There were other groups there. And there were a bunch of other people not associated with a particular group there. The last group (and maybe the 2nd to last) are where the "very fine people" are. It's not complicated, it's not hard. The only people who don't get this have self-deluded themselves so much because of their hatred, or just took what people told them as the truth of what happened. It's unconscionable that people would try to twist and distort what his clear intention was into something so stupid as him saying ***** were very nice people. That is an act of evil (the distortion of his comments). It's the most disgusted I've been with such a huge portion of the people in this country in my life time (In conjunction with the defense of terrorist organizations). Absolutely appalling behavior. Actually, there's probably one thing more disgusting to me, but it's not relevant here.
The two "sides" he was referring to, were those protesting about the removal of the statue (who were NOT all ****/white supremacist) and the "counter-protestors" (which included peaceful protestors as well as terrorist groups).
