I never knew Ferguson "excelled" at NT-- talk about a credibility hit. How many probowls has he been to?

But you're right neither of us will be deciding Ferguson's fate.

2, 3-4 coaches think very highly of him

and talk about not watching the games, guess you didn't catch Ferg play exceptional last year

Sanders may be overrated, but he always seems to be around the intended receiver in coverage when it's in his area, or at the least jumps routes very well, his problem is that he doesn't go for the ball, and instead goes for the receiver and thus the big hit, which is why his INT total is always low, or nil

Yeah, he was exceptional...

2006 103.7 yards given up per game, 3.9 ypc given up

2007 86.8 yards given up per game, 3.7 ypc given up

And Ferguson contributed 0 sacks.

You guys are funny.

You make Ferguson sound like the 2nd coming of Curly Culp.

I guess absence does make the heart grow fonder. By the start of next season you'll be calling Ferguson the greatest player of all-time.

so basically he doesnt make any plays, but he's good because he makes the tackle?

this sounds curiously like the discussion in another thread about a SS we already have on our team...only the exact opp argument takes place...wonder why that is?

and yeah, I'm saying it...RW >>> Sanders

just means the opponents are running against us less than last year, and we're slightly improved

stop being ridiculous, noone is saying Ferg is an All-Pro, just that he's not an average guy on the last legs of his career, and that he is the only NT we have on the roster, plus our line would be better w/ him at NT and Ratliff at one of the DE spots

also FYI...Sanders for his CAREER has 3 picks and 10 passes defensed

the safety on our team that some really ignroant people rip a new one every day has THREE SEPARATE SEASONS where he had more picks and passes defensed

:bang2: no, he's good because his recognition is very good, seems always to be in the right spots, and jumps routes very well

his problem is that instead of going for the INT, he goes for the hit, which is why his INT totals are always low

I'd keep Roy btw

:laugh2: this is not a Roy vs. Bob Sanders debate

And admit Ferguson did not play very well in 2005, because we all know he didn't.

if he was jumping the routes wouldnt that mean he'd get his hands on the ball and have some passes defensed? because he has almost none of them

he is a good hitter and is an asset vs the run for them, but I agree with the other post that said he is overrated...

Seems it turned into that huh? Guess it all started cause some feel Sanders is overrated don't see how.. Like you said the guy makes great reads on the plays , and is always around the ball.. Guess some feel hes overrated cause in some peoples eyes hes supposed to avg, 10+ INT's a year..

are you being obstinate, or just plain, 'ol stupid? read what is written, it's pretty simple, you aren't going to get your hands on many balls if you aren't playing it, but instead are playing the receiver

jeez

you can jump routes, but go for the tackle too you know?

btw, I also said that I agreed that he's overrated, one man never makes or breaks a defense

did you or did you not say he jumped alot of routes? if he is jumping routes consistently, it reasons that he should be making some plays on the ball...

or maybe he jumps them, but because he is a midgit the ball is too far over him to knock down :D

:bang2: :bang2: that's a good reason except for that fact that he doesn't look to make a play on the ball, he's always looking to make the tackle!!!

I'm done, you either get it, or you don't, I can't make it any simpler for you bro

havent read anyones post on this so dont know if this was mentioned. but im more sure that well over half of those players will be resigned by their teams.

to say this a great crop of free agents will at least at the top would be an understatement...
