Philbin was better than the last OL coaches under Garrett. They had a lot of different OL combinations since 2020 due to injuries and did not fall apart without Tyron like they did under the Garrett years. Any issues with the running game and blocking have more to do with the OC and scheme IMO.

MM is taking control of his own fate.........this is huge. It appears major changes are coming. Just my take but they already know at least one or maybe both coordinators also won't be returning.
Joe Philbin is Big Mac's right hand guy.

Big Mac re-hired him in Green Bay after he left Green Bay to become head coach in Miami and got fired after a couple of seasons with the Dolphins.

Unless Joe is retiring, at age 61, no way was this Big Mac's decision.

Mixed feelings about Philbin leaving, Tyler Smith, Steele, Biadasz, and McGovern all improved this season but the run blocking fell off again as the season progressed for some reason.

We're cleaning house and doing things differently next year.

Expect an active offseason.
They are getting the band back together. Return of Campo as DC and Bruce Coslet as the OC. :yourock: Rock and Roll! :yourock:

Sounds like next year is MM's last if the same result happens.

Btw what is with all the defensive guys getting purged?
If that's the case, Jerry and Stephen absolutely must let MM pick all the replacements. That's only fair if his job is on the line...
