Philbin was better than the last OL coaches under Garrett. They had a lot of different OL combinations since 2020 due to injuries and did not fall apart without Tyron like they did under the Garrett years. Any issues with the running game and blocking have more to do with the OC and scheme IMO.

McCarthy's OL coach in Green Bay, James Campen, is in Carolina right now and might be free with a new head coach being hired. He was with McCarthy his entire tenure in Green Bay.

Imagine Kitna at QB coach, Colombo at OL coach or OC, and, if Colombo takes the former, Reich at OC. That'd make an incredible coaching staff on offense.

MM is taking control of his own fate.........this is huge. It appears major changes are coming. Just my take but they already know at least one or maybe both coordinators also won't be returning.

Joe Philbin is Big Mac's right hand guy.

Big Mac re-hired him in Green Bay after he left Green Bay to become head coach in Miami and got fired after a couple of seasons with the Dolphins.

Unless Joe is retiring, at age 61, no way was this Big Mac's decision.
