Like or dislike him, Parcells does have an eye for finding talent.

Even though four years had passed after Parcells left the Patriots, Bill Belichick inherited a number of Parcells' New England draftees who formed a good core for the Patriots' first Super Bowl team:

Troy Brown, Tedy Bruschi, Ted Johnson, Ty Law, Willie McGinest and Lawyer Milloy.

Phillips takes over a larger core of Parcells' drafted players who should make an even bigger impact:

Demarcus Ware, Jason Witten, Terence Newman, Julius Jones, Chris Canty, Patrick Crayton, Marion Barber, Marcus Spears, Anthony Fasano, Jason Hatcher, Bobby Carpenter, Pat Watkins, Bradie James (go LSU! I haven't given up hope yet!: ) and Jay Ratliff.

Now, Phillips only has to get all the pieces to fit this championship puzzle.

Of the Cowboys you list, only Ware, Witten, and Jones have stood out. The rest are hopefuls. Carpenter looked good at the end of the year, but it's really too early to annoint him.
