Home safe and sound from Philadelphia. Had a great time. If I could sum up the trip in one word. I'd say it was entertaining. Every city obviously has bad apples, but wow Philadelphia fans for the most part were not that bad. I was sitting literally in the worst part of the stadium with my cowboys jersey on. I got heckled yeah, but nothing too bad. I thought I was in for a good time. Until halftime. The feeling I had in my stomach told me to get out of their immediately. That is when the fans turned into the classless bottom feeding rejects we have all heard about. Pouring beer on kids wearing youth cowboys jerseys, throwing footballs at cowboys fans (me) . Then. Literally every single time the refs called a penalty completely going off and losing their minds saying jerry paid them off it was easily one of the quickest turn around I've ever seen at a sporting event. Would I go back? Not to watch the Cowboys play. Met some excellent people mostly cowboys fans ate a great cheesesteak and had a good time with my friends, saw some amazing architecture and beautiful brownstone mansions the hotel staff were awesome just that damn toilet of a stadium was not a good experience at all. Next year I'm going to dallas. Too watch a real team play and meet fans that care about the sport more about their own hatred.

Like i said, i will be heading to Dallas next season. Wouldnt mind being there for the home opener. Its just a big mission for me being from Toronto. Ill probably travel to Buffalo and take a flight from there. Met some pretty awesome boys fans too.

DC is much more fan friendly. A lot of smack talk but never would get pelted with footballs or have beer poured on you. Just fyi type of thing if the Skins ever become competitive again. Traffic is the worst part of the experience in suburban MD.

I just cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would actually get physical or even verbally abusive over cheering for a sport that you have zero control over the outcome. Some harmless heckling sure, but to poor beer on someone because they prefer to follow and cheer on a team other than mine? sigh.

Sorry for what is unavoidably, classless.

Glad that you have some good memories beyond having to endure hostility and event directed chaos. That leaves the concept of sportsmanship at the door.

Events from one's own experience, are always a good share on site. Thanks for the share.

I'm surprised you made it out of there alive or at least without battle scars wearing an enemy team jersey.

I saw that in his note and made sure that I recorded it in my brain as an exaggeration. I really hope it was an exaggeration.

Didn't 2 people get stabbed at the Cowboys Bears game ?

As far as the beer pouring / throwing I am not suprised a bit and stated that would be expected if seats were on the upper level and people wear Cowboys gear.

I would bet that there are drunken fans that throw beer at plenty of stadiums in the upper levels.
