Run blitz, zone blitz, etc. , Dallas can expect this IMO from the Eagles. That's why Trotter will get much time. A few years back he would just crash the 'A' gaps every play, which indicates they will try to pressure Romo up the middle. The Cowboys will counter this immediately and attack the edges. I love the way this team is playing and we will NOT be denied! PERIOD!! :starspin

Then they will lose.

The problem is the instability at linebacker and safety. It limits what he can do blitzing because what he has does not cover very well, which is crucial to the blitzes not being problems. Overall, they are not blitzing as much because they are worried about coverage issues and they still had them. Unless something changed in a week, the problem is still there.
This is pretty much how I feel as well. With all of the injury problems, LB shuffling, and a couple of corners who like to take chances and can be had by double moves, I honestly don't see the Eagles winning on Saturday night.

If McNabb has a good game and is on, okay, it'll be a bit closer than last time, but let's be real here. I think it's pretty obvious that the Cowboys have better talent right now; their defense is making it look easy shutting down the Eagles almost one-dimensional offense, and Romo is playing the best football of his career.

Other than by the Cowboys shooting themselves in the foot, there is no way the Eagles win tomorrow night. No way.

I wouldnt blame them. Romo had some passes that were real close to INTs. If they play the odds: they should blitz and hope this time their CBs make the play.

If youre referring to those two passes where Samuels almost got the ball against Austin i see that as more of a case of Romo trusting Austin to get the ball. He did.

Trotter has lost a step and is not as effective blitzing as he was in years past.
The more he is on the field the better...for the Cowboys.

Trotter wasn't exactly coaxed, it was the other way around. He blew up Reid and McDermott's phones with hopes of a try out. He's still effective in the run game and in the A-gap blitzes, but if they isolate him in coverage (even with a guy like Deon Anderson, goodnight Irene).

The Birds pass defense has given up 15 TDs when they blitz, so yeah - the number allowed is high.

In the first game McDermott blitzed Romo a lot. It was fairly successfull as they only yielded 20 points.

Last week he started off run blitzing a lot, got burned because the Eagles tackled like ***, and backed off.

He admitted it was a mistake to back off and it was apparent because Romo had time to sit down for dinner before he felt any pressure.

Starting Akeem Jordan at MIKE was dumb, considering he's a natural WIL. The Moise Fokou experiment at SAM is dumb too (even though Gocong isn't much better, but he's heavier and plays the run better).

Their best LB alignment is GOCONG - TROTTER - WITHERSPOON on run downs & WITHERSPOON - WHITE in nickel.
