Image: Photo - Randy White & Sam Williams

Randy looks like he can still play.
He is usually on the Sunday Game Day Live show during the season. Gives some good insight. And predicts Dallas to win the game.

I met him in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, around mid 90's. He let me try on his SB ring. I could almost get 2 of my fingers in it. (a little exaggeration there). He was very nice and cool.

That's right that's the exact look I got when I start reading all these posts about the manster right at now his age, can outplay Sam Williams and then I see people below say he would be able to still kick Sam's **** dude do you guys realize how head in the clouds delusion you are ..

even if you're being funny it's not really that funny you all are not comedians

I know you think you are but you're not

Randy looks short in that picture, I thought he was 6’ 4”
There is no way in hell he was ever 6 foot 4 somebody is embellishing during his playing career to make him look bigger but he wouldn't have shrunk that much.. I realized that's what it says online but I doubt that...

Sam Williams is listed at 6'4 260 there is no way Randy shrunk that much..lol .

If I had to guess he maybe was 6 foot 2 at his playing days and yes people do shrink a little when they get older they get hunched over their back gets a bit compressed but he can

now be called the hamster.lmao.

Players today are so big ....... Randy was called the Manster
White played at 257 pounds, which is definitely smaller DE size now. However, he was quite powerful. He was the first Cowboys player to bench press 500 pounds. He did play defensive end in college and started out with the Cowboys as a middle linebacker.

Guys I know all about Randy White ...... love the guy ....... I was just commenting on how big our 3rd string DE is compared to star players of other eras.

Yeah, I just wanted to look up his playing weight, and thought the other things were interesting to throw in. Funny thing is one reason we moved White to DT is because we wanted to move Larry Cole back out to DE. Cole only weighed 5 pounds less than White, but was listed as an inch taller. Of course, starting DE "Too Tall" Jones was 271, but at 6-9 he couldn't afford to weigh much less than that.

I decided to look up Bob Lilly, too, because he's the all-world DT that White replaced. I thought he was bigger than 260. I guess since linemen overall were smaller, he just also looked bigger in comparison. (I kind of used to think the DEs were bigger than normal in the '60s and '70s since they looked about as big as the DTs. I mean, Harvey Martin also was 260 pounds.)

Play what? A 5ft 10 dtackle?

Both White and Williams are listed at 6’4” but Williams looks all of 3 inches taller than White. As you age can lose some height. Hulk Hogan was 6’7” but lost 3 inches due to back surgeries. White could have had his share of those.

Measurements do not change from era to era. An inch then is an inch now.

It would be wise understanding how photographs can affect an individual's visual perception. Photo angle is always important. You may wish to re-visit the photo and pay attention to the door behind them. Would a doorway be that markedly different in height from relatively a few feet away?

People shrink by an inch as they grow older. Human biology.

White is leaning slightly forward. Sam Williams' shoulders are slightly back.
