I havent really been up to date with the MLB ever since the Jays made that mid season run and than fell off at the end..I think it was like 4 years ago..But is a salary cap something they discuss at all...Do you think that they are gonna eventually get a salary cap in baseball??

I honestly think if an owner is willing to invest and lose millions of his own dollars than he should have the right. He is losing a lot of money and winning no championships to re-emburse his investment than its his own loss. Its like a rich man at vegas just giving money to the casinos. If he wants to then let him be. I dont think the mlb should get involved and try to induce a salary cap upon the league.

I hear axacully what you are sayin...but honestly the owners dont care that much for the rings, as long as the fans are beleiving that is what the franchise is tryin to do....He just wants the big names that attract fanbase...I bet he is whippin his as with million dollar bills and aint think twice about it...I think that known players make more moey for a franshice than a ring.

In fairness he is at the Hotel, I wear a suit every day I would hate to be judged on the clothes I wear in my off time at home or at a Hotel. Not piling on, I agree with the suit issue and the professional attire whoel heartedly. This is no press conference photo, the guy is probably coming back from Pizza or something.

actually this point of view was more in line with mine as i read the commentary on his attire, but didnt feel like trying to "defend" him as it were. it was about 10-1030 am on game day for a 3 oclock game and he was just leaving the hotel, where the players stayed the night before.

who knows? he couldve been headed to the stadium or he couldve been headed home to change into something more in line with the desires for player public appearances expressed in this thread before going to the stadium.

i just find it funny that that was the focal point of the comments and not whether he looks big enough to shoulder the load, which i thought was the thread topic.

The organization must set down some rules for dress..be it while traveling or in the hotel itself?

Does anyone know...because I can't really explain THIS fashion faux pas if it wasn't "ordered". :D

You oughta ask JJT for an intro, WG. ;)

That jacket has GOT to be regulation gear, (my point being the team must require at least some uni-dressing..that pic was taken the week the team stayed over in California to play the Raiders) because for one thing, it doesn't FIT. It's hanging off his shoudler and the sleeves are way down his hands.

I've seen Terry Glenn in suits.

They were Armani. Not Santa Claus.

Where's that DMN mediot who said he "hides behind" "crazy sunglasses" ?

Those look like this season's Cavalli to me.

I'll answer that, if WG doesn't mind.

First, he's in brown, which is this season's biggest palette from beiges to chocolates.

Second, he's sporting a shirt that touts "academics", which automatically gives him an A in my class. Extra credit for the foreign language sell.

I've noticed a lot of college aged kids this fall with 'akadernic' pendants - silver or gold.

I hope they know what it means. :)

TT looks just adorable, imo.

That TG pic is with CaliCowboys son (CalisBoy), THis kid has TG's receiver gloves, and autographs from every body. I have pics of him with just about every Cowboy you can think of. We were together this year at Training camp and they flock to him. Very cool kid. (off topic I know just trying to give him some props).

doesnt matter to me what they wear. I have a dress code at work, as do players, but on the way to work I can wear whatever it is I want. On the way to the stadium, I dont think the players should be policed. once they get to work, dress code is enforced by the league!

Yes I have noticed that same thing. I mentioned during preseason that his running style reminds me a great deal of Hershal Walker who also ran straight up and had blazing speed. If TT can catch like Hershal could he will make us a heck of a backup RB.

I do think that Jimmy Johnson had the right idea when he made the team wear suits (business or designer...but suits) and approach their travels as if they were business trips. Not only did it project a better image of the team and the players it also served the purpose of making the guys focus and put them in a serious frame of mind. I do not, however, know of any rule that he had for attire while hanging around the lobby at the hotel nor do I know that the dress code was enforced for home games.

Gee wiz, I'm a 40 year old white guy who works as an elementary principal. I'm the only one in the school district that didn't have to change a single item of clothing for our annual "nerd day."

I couldn't care less if TT wants to dress however he wants to dress. The kid took the time to stop and take a photo with a fan. I've never heard of him getting in trouble. He seems to be a team player. He's dressed just fine in my book. I'd be more scared if he were dressed like me. Y'all would all be screaming about the use of plaids and stripes together. Give the kid a break.

If you want to talk about people wearing stuff they shouldn't, we should be talking about the wicked yellow hairdo Parcell's was sporting a while back.

I just dont think it is fair to a team like the Jays...They are never gonna be a ble to have more than 1 "icon" cuz they cant afford to bid with the rest of the MLB..That is wh yI love footballso much...Its is organized to prefection....there is no exceptions or loop holes.
