Ok this pick just puts the cherry on top of just how garbage this draft is. I dare any of you to justify that pick with our 5th compensentory pick! Let me get this straight. We have a 24 year old probowl kicker and we draft another one in the 5th round!!!!??? I want some justice and explanation. I really dare someone to persuade me on that pick. Anyone? Your telling me a 2nd kicker has more value than an actualy football player!?

So many other players that can actually come in and contribute, and yet we go with a kicker when we already have a 24 year old probowl kicker. Someone set me straight because I'm about to punch walls in my house.
i hope they are drywall

LOL and people are worried about "wasting" a pick on Cosby...:lmao2:

Cosby sure looks a hell of a lot better to you guys now doesn't he?

Did Sidbury get drafted yet? I kid. Really, you need to relax. :)

Fixing the biggest reason we finished in the top part of the league in yards against, but gave up a lot of points isn't too stupid of an idea. We gave away a lot of yardage on kickoffs.

I'm a 100% with you. Scratching my head... Maybe since we cant trade compensatory picks we grabbed him for a prearrainged trade? Can we do that?

6'1/ 225/ 4.55 fourty.

Better measurables at safety than what we drafted or already have on the roster?

:lmao2:

........or bulk up to replace Carptenter........as so many wanted to do with S-Roy Williams.........

ESPN said he had better reps #s than Maauga and several other USC players drafted in 2nd rd.

That doesn't make any sense. Why wouldn't we just draft a FB or a TE rather than take a project in the 5th?

Because they can't kickoff....

Now that was a wasted pick!

Ya add to the other 5 picks we selected this year! I'm so heated right now it's not even safe to be around me right now!

I just watched that video of him in another thread....the guy is a little bit bigger than quite a few guys on his team...and we are talking about USC here.....very strong leg as well. If he can be accurate in the pre-season, Buh-bye Folk...unless they keep both which would be unusual.

The Cowboys love Nick Folk. He's about as efficient as they come in the NFL. But his kickoffs have struggled at times.

We heard a while back that new special teams special teams coach Joe DeCamillis was interested in bringing in a kickoff specialist. At 6-2, 227 pounds, Buehler can boom the ball.

And apparently he outran and out-benched teammates Clay Matthews Jr. and Rey Maualuga at the NFL combine. If he could punt as well, he could have good value for the Cowboys.

The question is whether they could fit him on the 53-man roster. A second kicker is a luxury. Teams that keep two usually don't have a third quarterback, and you have to think Stephen McGee makes the team. This is the highest the Cowboys have drafted a kicker since 1972.

This has become a special teams draft. The Cowboys are picking the guys they would have had to compete for in free agency in other years, when they had fewer picks.

Jerry Jones, what a MORON!!!

If this MORON took Mason Crosby a couple of years ago, we wouldn't be drafting another kicker
Wait a minute.

Folk >>>>>>>>> Crosby

Am I the only one who likes this pick? It's obvious he will handle kickoff duties.

If you are not alone then you are one of very few. I can see a kickoff specialist in the bottom of the 7th but in the 5th? All you can do is scratch your head and wonder what the hell is going on in the "war room"

I guess he is a hell of an athlete. 25 reps at 225, 4.5 fourty, put up LB/CB numbers. Also told he is a hell of a tackler. I don't get it either but I don't think this pick was anything about him being a kicker.

I don't know, I could certainly see his ability as a great kickoff guy being a help....

Some straight out homer please put a positive spin on this one for me

He is a prospect for the Offensive line and can handle kickoffs while he learns the position.

LOL

like this pick too, plus can't he long snap?

It would be awesome if he could be the third TE and handle kickoffs as well.

Dude............your taking this too hard. Not going to make or break our season. You remind me of me when I was a young buck thinking every thing revolved around a 5th round pick except when I was that crazy the draft was 12 rounds. lol

We couldn't find an UDFA or FA to handle kickoffs? I would think those guys are a dime a dozen in the NFL and college.
