I'd take cockiness & production over unconfident, lost, manhandled, and out of place on the field.........any day. I hear ya, no need to dwell on it too long with #3.

I made a past post about Pickens and his tomfoolery during games were dallas is getting stomped and fellow fans jumped down my back about it.

I am continuing to stand on it. The guy yet again found a way to taunt during another uneven game that didn't include the cowboys on the high end, only this time it drew a flag.

I dont care how good he is, make your play and get back to the huddle for the next.

Imagine dallas actually being in a game and stupidity like that actually cause them the game (example, a flag actually knocking them out of winning FG range or some other crazy situation that can effect game outcome.

He wants to do things like this on a your where the league is super strict on taunting. If this was two years ago then ok, but not in 2025.

The guy is an idiot with talent....in a nutshell.

I love watching George Pickens play football, especially for the Dallas Cowboys. He's got some attitude, I like it, and we need it.
That was a dumb penalty last week, he shouldn't have done it and it probably shouldn't have been called either

I believe Pickens has a fuse that is always lit. At some point he could go off.

But I don't think what he did last night was that egregious. These guys on the field are trying to win, but they are also fighting personal battles on every play. Was it dumb? Yes. Every player should know that's a penalty. The rule isn't new. But tell me those dumb celebrations after a TD, or a turnover where the entire team runs into the end zone is not taunting in some fashion.

Trust me, I hate when teams down by a lot celebrate a play but it is what it is in the NFL now.

He is a bit over-hyper and will probably tell you he is not as bad as he was coming into the league and he has better control. But honestly, he's so damn good, I can live with a few dumb penalties a year.

My favorite all time example of this was in one of Campo’s 5-11 seasons Darren Hambrick, yes the famous Darren Hambrick what do voluntary mean, got a TFL in the last game of the season and he started dancing. We were getting completely blown out and even the game announcers were saying “just go back to the huddle, you’re getting blown out on a 5-11 team”. I was like wow I’ve never heard the announcers say something like that.

All I'm saying is, it is what it is to follow fans until it cost the cowboys a game. Imagine the cowboys by some miracle making the playoffs...I am will to bet that every fan that is giving Pickens a pass on this, will not want to hear a peep out of him in an important game like that.

Of course fans will react if it costs their team a game. They react to all kinds of stuff. But to me what Pickens did was not that serious. I am talking in terms of taunting. 15 yards is always a serious penalty. But like I said, how is it any worse than the entire team running the length of the field and putting on a choreographed show in the end zone? I find those celebrations far more annoying and unsportsmanlike that what Pickens did. Pickens was wrong and should know better but as penalties go, that one was pretty lame.

I predicted the taunting penalty was coming several weeks ago so I am was not even fazed by that one. What did strike me though was that on more than one occasion dude str8 jogged his route. Inconsistent route running will do more damage than any celebratory antics ever could. Not going full bore will hang the QB out to dry when he is counting on you to come hard over the middle and win the spot for positioning on the slant or an in cut or he heaves it deep thinking you were running full speed and you stop midway through the route and let the DB go get the ball. That's what scares me more than anything about Pickens.. Clearly a great talent but kid's got a lot of growing up to do.

That's kind of leaked into the team man when you say you're losing the locker room well they're tired of looking over that defense just being trashed and no matter how good they play they're going to lose CD Lamb started doing the same thing starting to see him stop on his routes go rogue you know like he's supposed to finish a crosser stops and goes up field causes an interception in a Denver game he caused an interception in the Green Bay playoff game doing the same thing when the ball is not coming him enough I think both are doing it and that is why we don't need both on this team there's not enough targets to go around I know I like the boat it's nice to have but in my opinion this offense runs better when we have a clear target and a clear number one and that will be Lamb it's time to trade Pickens and get as much as we can for him..

There can't be two chefs in the kitchen whenever they both consider themselves number ones when they're talking about each other in the back of their minds if you're between the ages they both want the ball and they both in a way are lying to us about not caring if they have to share the ball this was running better through George Pickens when Lamb was hurt and this offense is running better when Lamb is the primary we've seen it in 2023 we do not need another $30 million wide receiver on this team it's causing distractions because Prescott himself has to remember to try to feed both of them or they'll both start doing what you're talking about you start catching them doing their lazy decoy type things when they don't think they're getting the ball but that's wrong because occasionally the quarterback's coming back and then he's launching a ball to an area you should have been and now you're not there...

Understand your opinion. He's been productive. CD has given us his moments before too. Let's not do that. We have far more issues than Pickens and his taunting penalty or anything you want to castigate him for. He was wrong. No need to vilify him when so much gets overlooked, dismissed, or disregarded that spells undisciplined play on this team and has enabled opponents' drive to continue or our drives to stifle.

Since you brought up Jimmy.......he once was asked, and I'm paraphrasing too......A reporter asked Jimmy if he would treat his star QB, Troy Aikman, the same way as a third-string linemen, if he caught both sleeping in the team meeting?".........He replied, "Absolutely not, one gets cut immediately, and Troy would be asked if he needed a cup of coffee." Translation: Production accepts tolerance. Low production means you get cut, embarrassed and get no tolerance. It's that simple. Let's not make more out of it than necessary. This ain't his journey in Pittsburgh.

Since you have Dak in this......without Pickens, I agree that Dak's numbers would be lower. Where we going with this?
