Pickens' criticism is largely overstated

I don’t get the hate. Dude has been consistently great all year. All WRs can be head cases but I think Dez was a lot more problematic and don’t even get me started on Mike lol. Hell even Cooper felt like he flat out quit sometimes

I don’t get the narrative people have with him and he flat out makes this team better
i agree that his issues haven't been to the degree of some others (yet) it's more frustration that it's silliness that would rather not deal with. the talent and production is tantalizing, lets just have that please.

This is really the first time Pickens has had an actual Qb who can throw the ball to him.
I'm hoping once he can get on the field that Jonathon Mingo can have a similar experience having a legit QB throwing to him.

If he can show what made him a 2nd round pick, GREAT!

Swagger, some of these fans are not here for us there for the Eagles

He can be all of that you said he was (hes not) and still better than Pickens

Ill go a step further and say Pickens does nothing better than Dez
Pickens does everything better than Dez aside from the jump ball.

I don't see any hate.

To me it is an argument of Cap Space Allocation and building a complete football team that gives us the best chance win a SB, with a handicapped GM, who does not know how to maximize cap space.

I mean we can't just ignore the history. He was an issue in Pittsburgh. He's been pretty much on best behavior here other than the curfew thing this past weekend.

I'd try to bring him back for sure, but let's not pretend there isn't a history here with him and that there always exists the possibility he could go full AJ Brown diva on us.

Irvin was never a problem on the field. Great route runner and full effort at all times. He shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence w/ any of these guys. Top 10 all time.
Irvin was a great receiver, but a problem child off the field such as stabbing a fellow Cowboys player in the neck with scissors and some reported cocaine and partying incidents. Pickens undoubtedly is a great receiver and if he keeps it together perhaps can become one of the all time greats. That remains to be seen however. We had a chance to draft extraordinary Randy Moss who was a bit of a head case himself but we passed over him in part because of Irvin's past antics. We ended up drafting a quality DE in Greg Ellis.

Put it down to: Trolls or the on-line 'Protecting my Cat' fans of CeeDee who feel threatened (especially when the topic of Jerry only keeping one $30m WR comes up).

Didn't you watch the last game? Took Ceedee out for some late partying, got suspended from 1st series.
“Took CeeDee out”.

Is CeeDee now some sorority girl turning 21 and wearing a tiara?

Can you read?

Dez was nowhere as problematic as Pickens has been
Dez was absolutely just as big of a problem if not bigger. He was a huge headache off the field. A lot of it got covered up. But he was absolutely a problem. Not so much on the field, but missing meetings, being late etc..he was a huge headache

No he wasnt man.

Was he a problem at times? Yes

As big of a problem as Pickens? Please

The Steelers, a team that has struggled on offense for years, thought it was in their best interest to trade a highly talented 24yo receiver and trade a 2nd rounder for a lesser receiver and give him $150m.

Let that sink in. And this was Mike Tomlin btw.
