give him timeWhere is our resident pilot on this? Cyberbob?!
Let me preface this by saying the guy is a complete jerk.Where is our resident pilot on this? Cyberbob?!
with the current climate as it is, I bet he gets grounded fastLet me preface this by saying the guy is a complete jerk.
With that said, ATC sometimes tries to get you to do things you aren't comfortable with. There are obviously better ways to handle it. I never actually heard him declare an emergency, just threaten it. Usually if there is a pilot deviation, it depends on the attitude of the person. I know a guy who landed at the wrong airport (oops), which happened to be a military airport. He admitted the mistake he made and offered to share his story with the rest of the company in the form of a presentation about what factors lead to the mistake. The FAA allowed him to do that and get some re-training and he was let off the hook. He is a 747 captain at UPS today.
This guy in the video has a pretty dangerous attitude and I suspect that he won't be very receptive to any kind of remedial training, so he's probably going to get his license yanked and spend a lot of money on attorneys appealing it.
Could be, but I heard he or the aircraft owner may be politically connected.with the current climate as it is, I bet he gets grounded fast
You can't have that kind of attitude without knowing someone, or having backup.Could be, but I heard he or the aircraft owner may be politically connected.
not necessarily, some people simply cannot control their mouth and get away with it for a surprisingly long timeYou can't have that kind of attitude without knowing someone, or having backup.
Until they do it to the wrong person.not necessarily, some people simply cannot control their mouth and get away with it for a surprisingly long time
I'm hoping that's the case. I was just thinking of those people that have the cop's son attitude.not necessarily, some people simply cannot control their mouth and get away with it for a surprisingly long time
