The thing about Flo is that he always struggles against some no name schmuck, but always brings his A game for the big time pass rushers. I've never understood it, but it always seems to be the case.

I think Flo will be okay in this game.

We think alike! ;)

they seem to be real cocky. check out this post from a steeler fan

"nasty little secret that the Cowqueens don't want anyone to know and that they'll never admit but it'll be the reason why the Steelers beat them on Sunday...Tony Homo is a first-timer against the Steelers and EVERY QB who has faced the Steelers this season for the first time has **** the bed. Tony Homo will be no different. He'll get schooled like Cassel did, but in the Steelers crib.

oooh creative. I can't wait until we hear the next insult.

Snow? I think it's going to be rain....on their parade.

The dominance has switched from their conference back to the NFC. So what seems good over there, like with years past for us, is not really that good at all. Sunday we prove it with ease, the NFC is back in charge.

I'm so sick of hearing how their Defense is going to dictate the direction of this game. I say get your damn ***** out there and prove it to me, cause I don't believe for one second. Just like last year when we went against the so-called mighty Bears defense. Which in the end showed it was no match for a high powered offense like ours, even with them coming at us from all directions like pearl harbor was getting bombed again.

I still remember clearly that Steelers fans were convinced they'd roll us in Superbowl XXX. It's a fanbase high in confidence, and low in intellectual horsepower. This is perfectly obvious to anyone who's ever actually had to do time in Pittsburgh.

I remember that nearly the entire media was behind them on that when it was clear Dallas was going to win that SB. I never had a doubt. I knew Dallas was going to win because it was painfully obvious that Dallas was far more talented.

The media wanted so bad for Dallas to lose that game.

Seems like most of those guys think it is going to be an easy win.

Pitt may win, but it is not going to be a blowout.

My family's from Pennsylvania, and my immediate family relocated to Phoenix many years prior to that Superbowl. The husband of one of my cousins was a Steeler fan who came out to the game. He stayed at our house and was absolutely convinced they were going to roll us. I could not believe it. Clearly, they had a shot at an upset, but we were the better team, and I didn't even think that was debatable.

He was devastated when they lost, and didn't have the grace to handle it respectfully. It was only respect for peace in the family that kept me from putting the uncivil tongue back in his mouth. It was pretty classless.

They do, typically know their football, though. I hate them, but as fanbases go, you have to tip your hat to them.

Only except those games in 1994 and 1997 came during week 1 of the regular seasons in both seasons respectively, where the weather wasn't a factor. Also keep in mind those were completely different teams, different players, different coaching. I believe the last time the Cowboys played in Pittsburgh this late in the season, you have to go back to that great year of 1977, where Dallas fell 28-13 to the Steelers.

No. That's not true. Didn't we beat them in the Superbowl a few years back? :D That was much later in the year.

pretty funny.

I just was reading some of the stuff on their board.

There are numerous posts saying that they checked out the cowboys board and cowboys fans are dim witted and not knowledgeable about the game.

Funny stuff.

and the amount of tony homo, to crying and jessica simpson comments are pretty funny.

that is just their style of play though. Its not a knock on them.

They make everybody one dimensional. You cant run on pittsburgh and then you get caught in bad situations needing long yardage on third down.

They just havent had the offensive firepower because of players leaving and injuries it seems to me. If they put up more points they would blow some teams out.

Just like us. If our defense played all year the way it has the last 5, we would have really blown some people out.

Its going to be a battle. if we take away their deep passing game early and show them that they cant do that, this could be a punt festival.

Heath miller vs keith davis scares the crap out of me more than anything. ANd in turn Jason witten vs clark/polamalu/farrior should scare the crap out of them.

Both tight ends are very good, actually witten is outstanding and could be the key to the game.

ROmo has to be sharp early and convert some third downs to settle the building down and not make this offense go into a shell and be reactive to their blitzing.

This comment makes absolutely no sense.

Hopefully Marion says something stupid this week. Get Hampton pissed and see what happens.

Love a pissed off Hampton!
When did Marion ever said anything stupid or even wanted to say anything to the reporters? MBIII has to be one of the shyest NFL player today.

I was reading some of the forum threads yesterday and sounds like it's going to be a cake walk for them. This team can afford only one more loss out of the 4 games. Preferably against an AFC team and would prefer the Ravens just to be in the "save" side. It's going to be a good football game but too bad its only Wednesday. :D

We are not losing either of the final two home games. Especially the ravens game.

This is the game we most likely lose if we lose.

But The attitude has changed on this team recently and I dont think penciling in a loss against anyone is a smart bet right now.

From one of their blogs...

Hampton's Penalty Sets Stage for the Rest of the Year

photo_32_tiny.jpg

Can one play make a season? Does one string of plays have the ability to change a team's momentum for the whole year?

The common story surrounding the New York Giants' Super Bowl run in 2007-08 was how the team was positively affected by the absence of Jeremy Shockey. Now they're saying the same thing about the former Steelers wide receiver (and possibly former NFL player) Plaxico Burress.

Fortunately, the Steelers have a much smaller event in comparison. Early in the third quarter of their Week 13 road match-up against New England, the usually-quiet nose tackle Casey Hampton was called for a dubious defensive holding penalty. It negated a 3rd and 2 situation, and gave the Patriots a first down.

Big Snack blew his lid.

He's not a guy who shows his emotion on the field often, but he lost his composure as he gestulated toward the officials, signaling his disagreement with the call.

Everyone watching the game felt the momentum of that 10-10 game swing. The Patriots picked up a first down, and then Hampton completely destroyed the middle of the line, busted through and recorded his first sack of the season, knocking Matt Cassel back six yards.

And oh boy, did he ever let the Patriots - and the officials, it seemed - know about it. His teammates were jumping all over him and he flailed his arms wildly, a sign of in-your-face defiance for the percieved slight against him.

That energy shifted over to the offense, who put together perhaps their most complete drive in their last four games, going 79 yards, but settling for a field goal, and a 13-10 lead.

Then came the huge special teams fumble from Matthew "A.C." Slater that was recovered by Keyaron Fox. The momentum was growing. A quick Hines Ward touchdown, 20-10 Steelers lead.

Did anyone want to be Matt Cassel at this point?

He knew the defense was going to be coming after him through any means necessary - land, air and sea - and they were going to put him on the ground. James Harrison picked up two sacks, causing two fumbles, both recovered by Pittsburgh. Short of a gutty Patriots red zone defense that forced two Jeff Reed field goals, and one miss, the Steelers ran the defending AFC Champions out of their own stadium.

It's all about momentum.

Was this Butterfly Effect truly caused by Hampton's penalty? We'll never know conclusively, but leaders lead through decisive action, and perhaps more importantly, reaction. Hampton isn't a player whose contributions are readily noticeable, but his teammates know he's good enough at what he does, when he speaks, they should listen.

Hampton told the NFL loudly and clearly, "don't poke the bear." You're not going to like what happens.

Free safety Ryan Clark's Hit of the Year nomination on Wes Welker fired up the defense even more (yet another penalty on that), and at this point in the season, judging by the team's response to that hit and Hampton's penalty, it's clear to say the defense has obtained that crucial "us-against-the-world" mentality all Super Bowl champions have. After Clark's hit, LaMarr Woodley got into it with Randy Moss. Every defender wanted a piece of New England at that point. It was as if they wanted the offense to take three knees and punt, and getting back to beating the blue off of Cassel's jersey.

The momentum they gained in that win will have to carry them into perhaps their toughest match-up of the season with Dallas. While the media darling Cowboys are building some momentum of their own, they have to be asking themselves, very bluntly, "how much do we want to be Tony Romo right now?"

oh look another steeler blog about how nobody wants to be tony Romo and how he will look like the jv qb this week.

and we are hardly the media darlings. We are the medias fall back for ratings.

When they have nothing original or interesting to report or say they just spew the same lines about Jessica simpson, T.O. Pacman, Tank johnson jerry jones and wade phillips.

If anything the steelers are more the media darlings right now, people are tripping over themselves to say how great they are and how Romo is in such big trouble this week, and his girlfriend too apparently.

LOL! The Steelers fans are loyal and are everywhere. Matter of fact, last time the Steelers were in Dallas it looked like Pittsburgh. How did that happen? Must have got those tickets from all those bandwagon Cowboy fans. Did you see Super Bowl XL? They took that over as well. You can say whatever, but you can't honestly say Steeler fans are bandwagon fans.
