Pittsburgh Steelers' top two running backs busted for marijuana

Well, at least there are no concerns about lack of chemistry in the Pittsburgh Steelers' running backs meeting room.

Top two tailbacks Le'Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount were hanging out together after hours on Wednesday. A little bonding experience. The only problem was they had 20 grams of marijuana when they were pulled over by police, according to CBS Pittsburgh columnist Colin Dunlap. The backs were charged with possession of marijuana and as a bonus, Bell was charged with a DUI. An unidentified female with the two was also charged, Dunlap said.

That's not good. Though, given the appeals process if commissioner Roger Goodell wants to punish Bell and Blount, it's unlikely it would affect either for the 2014 season.

I picked up Dri Archer in the off chance that they get punished.

Seems like they like what he has been doing in camp thus far. Word is they kind of see him as a Slash kind of player that will be used in many different ways...although I don't think they view him as a slash playing QB lol.

I'll take the points anyway I can get them, hopefully just use him as trade bait.

"We are aware of the reports and are still concealing evidence, .. I mean still gathering information," Steelers spokesman Burt Lauten said. "We will have no further comment at this time."

LOL

No further comment at this time, .. how handy is that?

Well, alright.....alright.....alright(in my best McConaughey voice)........

But I've always heard from the media just how great of an organization the Steelers are. The owner and management don’t put up with any bad players/behavior. Other teams, including the Cowboys, should learn to manage a team the way the Steelers do. I don’t think any of this can be true, must be a conspiracy! At least that’s what BSPN always says.

Tomlin wants to play both players tonight until he can gather more information about the situation, ... doesn't want to knee jerk.

LOL, .. what more does he need to know, what strain of pot it was and was it from Hawaii or Mexico? LOL

Plus he doesn't think the whole team should pay/suffer for their poor decision.
Isn't that what being on a team means? One guy screws up in practice, everybody runs. One guy jumps offsides in a game, the whole team gets penalized.

Maybe the organization will override Tomlin and not let them play.

So glad these hardened criminals were off the streets for a few hours. A much safer place because of it.

Smoking Mary Jane does not make you a hardened criminal. However smoking it when it is illegal (where he was at) AND against the rules of the job that signs your pay check...makes you an idiot.
