Remember the story with Vince Young earlier this year, and the fact that his gun was unloaded in the glove compartment made it legal.

It doesnt matter if he has a multiple game suspension, he was shot in the leg, do you think he is actually going to play over the next few games? Im thinking no. Hope hes ok but this was pretty stupid.

Assuming that the injury isn't too serious and he is able to play again (soon), the league can wait w/ their decision to penalize him. The Giants organization could do the same.

How did he get a gun down to DC? Are charter flights exempted from regular security checkpoints? Maybe they bussed down or took Amtrak.

Edit: My bad. He was shot in Manhattan.

Taylor was killed at home.

That doesn't change the fact that carrying a gun because of the Taylor incident is a stupid reason.

And I'd bet a good number of people who are shot are shot outside of the house.

All I can think of here is how our teams self-destructed back in the 90s -- Williams' car accident, Irvin's drug arrest ...

I will say this -- Plax has crazy talent and he's fun to watch. Hope he doesn't have any long term injury.

You can carry a loaded and concealed weapon with a license to do so. But you cannot carry it into certain places as a citizen depending on state, Federal, and local laws. Like no how and nowhere can you tote a gun into a USPS station or even be on the premises unless you have a lawful duty to carry a weapon.

Laws vary greatly from state to state. However, virtually no state will let you carry a concealed handgun--loaded or unloaded--without some sort of permit. Some states still let you carry a handgun openly--although I wouldn't recommend it. Some states will only let you transport a handgun in a vehicle if you are driving from your house to certain specified locations, like your business, or the firing range and in those instances it must be unloaded, locked in a case and stored outside of the reach of passengers. The laws can be so Byzantine that it is difficult to be clear if you are violating them or not. So anyone who leaves the house with a gun w/o a permit takes the onus on themselves to make sure they are in compliance with state and local laws when it comes to carrying a handgun. In fact, each local town you pass through on your trip may have different requirements.

There is no place in the United States were you can bring a concealed handgun into a club.

I say that with absolutely no research or prior knowledge.

The club owner may not let you in, but it probably isn't against the law if you are properly licensed otherwise. When they passed the concealed carry law in Minnesota, signs went up everywhere telling people they couldn't enter with a gun, places like libraries, college dorms, etc.

That's not "concealed/carry." At least in Texas, anyone can have an unloaded gun in their glove compartment (aka "I'm going to the gun range..."), but you cannot carry a concealed handgun without the proper permit.

In Alaska, no permit is needed for concealed firearm, yet it is against the law to bring one into a bar. I imagine thats the case in every state.

:bang2: Great! Just the distraction the Giants needed ahead of putting the Commanders out of the playoff picture.

I think they can beat the Commanders without him.

Could this lead to a multiple game suspension? I mean carrying around a loaded weapon's illegal, right?

I'm way too lazy to read the whole thread, but I do know that in Texas it is illegal to carry a gun where alcohol is served. If it's illegal in a Red state like Texas it has to be illegal in NY...right?

2 game suspension coming up:cool:

You said he should stay home. I was just pointing out that staying home doesn't guarantee anything. And we don't know why he was carrying a gun. Taylor might have nothing to do with it. In any event, Plax is an A-1 jerk.
