Just what the title states folks. From what I saw and have since read today, it was obvious that we were playing not to lose from 6 minutes on or so in the 4th quarter.

Rookies need to learn the nuances of the game, vets need to gel...Can an old coach learn from his mistakes ?

77-0 with a 13 point lead (4th quarter) or more, is a broken record now BP.

Will this make Payton and Bill a little more agressive with his offense now ?

One can only wonder, sure sounds like Cambell and Witten didn't like the approach and how can you blame them, seeing the outcome.

When was the last time we beat someone 34-0, 44-7...etc.

Lets pour it on BP !

I was always tought you should play sports like you are losing the game every play. We were playing like we were satisfied with 13-0 and would just hold that and be happy. This is not the standard we should accept as Cowboys fans. We are not the storied franchise for being nice to other teams so their coach will shake our hand at the end of the game. Always go for the TD, run the score to 56-0, who cares? The other team would do it to us. Hope this kind of thing never happens again.

It better make Payton more aggressive....last night he thought the game was a hot potato and threw it over the fence to Zimmy to win.

Payton better grow some ba!!s by next week or else every week will be close.

Skins had no business even being in that game...should have easily scored 20 points.

I've coined a new name for that, I call it the Prevent Offense and it stinks as bad as the prevent defense.

i doubt parcells is going to change his mindset on changing his offensive philosophy. if anything, he's proven to be stubborn and stick to what has worked for him in the past.

we got a trade-off - pretty good defense with the exception of the fiasco in the 4th quarter for a very conservative offense that likes to sit on leads.

We'll find out in S.F. This will be the same type of team as the Skins. Very good defense with an offense that cannot get out of its own way and prone to mistakes. If we won last night I guarantee the team goes into S.F. with the exact same game plan. Now, how does BP approach this.

very good defense?pffffffffffffffft

jj better get over 100 this game PERIOD.

The 49ers have a "very good defense"? They've allowed 988 yards (last in the NFL), 56 first downs (last in the NFL) and 67 points (last in the NFL) in their first two games.

Last year, they were 32nd in points allowed and 24th in yards allowed. They were putrid last year and might be even worse this year. So far, they've been horrific.

Ok :) maybe not very good, but they have some dangerous players. It's more about the S.F. offense not really representing a threat that would result in conservative play calling next week.

if we dont get atleast 28 points this sunday i dont think we will be going to the playoffs.

that would be ridiculous.the niners are horrible..........we should smack them around like little &*&^^^s

Ugh, you do realize we played much more conservative last week and won? 5 sacks on the night and most of them all came from blitzing linebackers and safeties. Scored a TD on a trick play. Threw the ball much more and more down the field than the week before.

I wish we would have played "not to lose" against the Commanders. Maybe if we had then there wouldn't be WR's getting behind our safeties on 2 deep zones with the game on the line. Or maybe at least tackle the guy instead of whiffing on the INT and letting him stroll into the endzone after making the catch.

I think the 49er game will be a close one. They will be very much in the game to the last play like San Diego and Washington were. Whoever wins I have no idea.

My guess is after we go up by 10 points Parcells will play for FGs. He just does not have what it takes to put a team away in a game.

I disagree...last week we were ever so slightly more agressive...it can almost be measured by a ruler.

We had a let down defensively...yes. I agree...BUT we need to attack teams offensively and not sit back and hope our defense will win it every week, which is exactly what Payton did...here Zimm you win it, I'm to scared to finish them off in fear Billy will yell at me!

That explains that 77-1 mark.

Check the game stats. The offense was considerably more open this week. The only difference is we played a better defensive team, so we didn't score as many points. And the offense didn't commit drive killing penalties against San Diego like they did against the Commanders.

The bottom line is that the secondary came up with a big play with the game on the line against San Diego, and gave up two big plays with the game on the line against the Commanders.

Explain his .486 winning% in Dallas. That is the mark that matters the most.

Nice deflection. So I guess those 52% of the losses have come because Parcells is too gutless to open up the offensive attack.

I'm sure you've done your homework and seen that Parcells actually has two of the top 5 all time offenses in pass attempts per season, so I'm not telling you anything you don't already know.

My point......we are not nearly aggressive enough...period. Not even close! No matter who we play it may come down to the last few minutes until thses guys learn to put teams away.

I feel like Campo is calling plays....here let's throw it 5 yards short of the 1st down marker and cross our fingers. Attack!!!

Agree. One difference between the Eagles and Cowboys is when the Eagles have a team on its heels they go for the knock out. When Parcells has a team on its heels he just sits on the lead and plays not to lose.
