Players Cowboys show interest in 2022 draft

The tweet was suggesting a way to get the running game back and take pressure off the offense if we lose Gallup AND Coop.

Makes sense. Think I'm just burned from the repeated attempts over the years to run that offense.

Not to mention I'm pretty sure they wanna get Zeke going again if they can. Something fans overlook a bit with Zeke is his touches the last 2 years are down approx 30-35%. Bottom line, KM hasn't used the running game enough and frankly, I think the front has called him to the mat for it. Let's face it, when the running game is clicking, Zeke is earning his money, play-action for Dak opens up, less risk, all sorts of goodies.

I’m glad his touches have gone down. He’s not enough of a dynamic playmaker with the ball. I’d much rather be giving Pollard opportunities in the next pass game. Zeke’s primary utility is as a short yardage/goal line back.

It's early but it sure seems they're thinking about adding more player to the receivers ( WR, TE ) room via the draft

Miami QB D'Eriq King had an informal meeting with the Cowboys. Dallas would have some interest in converting him to receiver, which King is open to doing.
Everything points to a heavy offensive draft coming. So far, haven't seen the Cowboys linked to many defensive players.

First couple days of the combine are offensive players. I do agree though about there being plenty of offensive players drafted.

Even at the Senior Bowl we heard more about offensive players. If we speculate, this suggests they are going to bring back the likes of Gregory, Kearse and DLaw and just tweak the defense, where they are looking to overhaul the offense.

yep, keep giving more and more “weapons” to a QB who can’t use them and an OC who doesn’t know how to
They might want to give MM & Kellen all they need to see if they are the future of this franchise.

Totally true. When Zeke is running well, the offense clicks. Always has with the Dak/Zeke combo.

I am absolutely fine with it either way.

As long as the O or D just gets minor tweaks and the other unit stays near intact, I would be happy.

For sure Jarwin is gone, need the cap space. Pretty much a coin flip if Schultz is gone too. I really hate the idea of taking a TE earlier than round 3, but is what it is if they have only McKeon.

If I’m McCarthy and I want to preserve my job I try to build the OL and run game and defense. Tgst will keep us in games and make the playoffs so I can keep Jerry happy. Giving Dak more weapons and expecting him to ‘take the next step’ ain’t happening

I was thinking earlier we keep Schultz over 94. I am beginning to think otherwise now and that we focus on Gregory, Kearse and FS.

there no way to justify Cutting Jarwin but signing Schulz. That would be a stupid move but we’re talking about the Joneses so anything is possible. There is not much difference between TEs in rd 2 of 3. Give me a TE who can catch a little and block in rd 3

People remember the difference between Formal and Informal. Teams only get 45 formal meetings.

I really don't want to draft him. 25 is a bit old for a rookie they plan to start at LG before moving to tackle.

Same here. Reminds me of that 25 year old G the Eagles drafted in the first round years ago
