How could he step up with that quarterback production? Beasley didn't step up either. I think we'll get the best version of Williams weve seen since its his contract year. I would not draft a wr high but thats just me. I would draft one in the 6th though which is what I think Dallas will do. There is only one football and so many targets to go around. There is a Doctson every year in the first 2 rounds. We'll see what happens though. If we dont see a wr in round 2 Id say its safe to say we won't see one until round 6.

I am not going into this draft designating rounds one or two for a WR. But if a good one is there and fits the board, I don't hesitate.

He didnt step up because without the coverage tilting to Dez he showed he was at best a 2 or 2.5. He has limited value.

Doctson is like so much more talented than Williams and Beasley. Holy bleep, man.

Underrated safety William Parks also looked good. He measured 6006, 204 pounds, timed 4.52/4.55 in the 40 and completed 22 reps on the bench. His vertical jump was 32 inches and broad 9-7.

Parks met extensively with the Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Ravens and New Orleans Saints.

The Cowboys are the latest of seven teams that have ventured to UCLA to work out offensive lineman Caleb Benenoch, reports Gil Brandt of NFL.com (on Twitter). Benenoch is regarded as a potential top-75 draft choice.

I think WR is a huge need on this team. Our alpha is a mental midget, our 2 is an inconsistent body catcher and our 3 is an actual midget. What's left? Butler and Street? Spare me.

Tough draft for WR. Unless Treadwell or Thomas falls to 34.

As far as a higher pick, I want to kick that can to 2017 unless Treadwell and Thomas are there at 34. Im looking for a guy who can develope into a #1 and allows us to not give Bryant a 3rd contract. We also need a a #2 so we dont give Williams a 2nd contract, but its tough to fill both those needs in one in this draft. I like a guy like Sterling Shepard in the 3rd or 4th this year and more of a bell cow type in the first 2 next year

Starting to wonder...if he is there in round 2....if he is the guy we are looking @.

1/4. Jack
2/34. Neal
3/67. DT

Could be worse....

Only thing about him is he seems to be another in the tackle box type.

Hard to argue with that. Harsh, but true.

I wouldn't have any problem adding a WR, but I'd argue with pretty much all of that. Dez is a top 5 player at his position in the entire league. You don't get that status by being a mental midget, or if you do, it doesn't matter. Williams is a decent player, body catcher or no, and Beasley is short, but pretty much the perfect guy for that slot receiver role. As 4/5 WRs go, Butler is actually a decent player, too.

Our problem at WR is that we've got complementary players surrounding Dez, so if he goes down, the group has some issues. Especially when Romo's down during that same time, too. But had Romo been throwing all last season, we'd obviously have been able to move the ball a lot better than we did with Weeden/Cassel.
