So you think they're wrong?
Jerry is not operating as the GM anymore except when on camera or in front of a microphone.

The GM is Stephen Jones on money issues and Will McClay on talent selection/evaluation.

Stephen Jones hired a real Head Coach that had no connections to Jerry.

Both Holley and Everson Walls are failed media personalities at this point and Holley is a never-was as a player.

The fact this is coming from the teams official site makes me wonder if Jerry is actually ceding control. He wouldnt let this be published if he wasnt.

I honestly do not think they pay attention to the team site.
It is a very poor website for a team that is the most valuable in the world.

How could someone not realize this in the organization. So therefore, they must not pay attention to it.
If they can't see the value in possibly drafting a QB in the top 3 picks, then they can't know what is being put on the team website.

As long as the cowboys are making money hand over fist I don't think he gives two ***** anymore about winning.

So how long has Stephen been the de facto GM?

yup they made the change most wanted, garett era over year obviously this team and year was devastated by Injuries' and they are down so kick them , it drives ratings..
fans are so impatient to see 8 games with obvious reasons for a down year and now this NEW Staff has to go and jones dont want to win, last i checked they are spending big money on resigning players, if they didnt want to win, they would constantly let all their FA players walk and just put draft pick as starters every four years rinse and repeat..

theres a huge different NOT wanting to win and being cheap and simply making some bad decsions..

really shock and horror, video just old regurgitated narratives..nothing to see here

You really are a Cowboys apologist, aren't you?

The video is spot on. The flaw in the Cowboys and why they haven't done squat since 1995 is that Jerry has run the football side of the organization fairly poorly - whether it be in talent acquisition, contracts, hiring of coaches, etc.

It's always interesting to see people try to argue otherwise when you see that the Cowboys haven't sniffed a NFC Champ game in 20+ years, and have something like 5-6 playoff wins in 24 years.

I think the recent criticism of Jerry is WAY overblown. There was a time when Jerry was “Al Davis Light” but that hasn’t been the case for some time. It’s been AT LEAST since the Johnny Manziel draft when we took Martin over Manziel. It probably started turning before that.

The Cowboys have drafted very well overall since Will McClay took over. The organization wanted TJ Watt, and instead of trusting the organization he went with the “football guy” (Marinelli) and drafted Taco instead of trusting the process. If anything gm Jerry, in at least that case, trusted the football guy too much.

In fact you can blame most of the defensive woes of this team at Marinelli’s feet. News flash—football guys are not always right either. See: Bobby Carpenter.

The Cowboys salary cap is not an emotional thing. It is a set of rules that the team must operate within. I would also argue that Jerry was a bit too lax with passing out contracts to Tank, Jaylon, etc. (Although we are starting to get some ROI on Tank finally).

Newy Scruggs, Everson Walls and Jesse Holly discuss the biggest problem with the Cowboys Football team these last 25 years.
None of whom are qualified to give that opinion.

This won't have any credibility until an actual important player says something like this.

This is more of an emotional response to no titles since 1995 than fact.
