Playing an NFL game with only 3 days rest is a disgrace

and I've been saying it for years. Yeah, some of us were disappointed with the Oline today or Dak in the first half but these guys aren't cyborgs fer crissakes even though they look like one. So how did Buffalo and the LIons look today? Pretty sloppy overall and the Bills jerked around and almost lost so....there ya go. But seriously, making these guys play with 3 days rest is borderline inhumane.
Has been going on for nearly 90 years now...NFL began it with the Detriot Lions way back in the previous century --- 1934 season.

They are getting paid well enough for it, and if they don’t like it, there are plenty of Walmart and Amazon and Home Depot type jobs out there. Unless they actually got their degree in another field.

I think he's talking about the toll it takes on the players bodies and health. Not just the ones on Thanksgiving, but everyone who plays on Sunday, then Thursday.

Maybe the answer is to only play Thursdays after a bye week?

or just leave it how it is.

We should have got our guys more rest last week
I love thanksgiving games but physically for the players it’s tough
But then again you get extra rest after the game and it’s the same for both teams
Well we got another one in late Dec.

I want football on Thanksgiving. It’s tradition and has been going on for years. Both teams are affected.

They should make the teams playing on Thanksgiving play a Sat night game instead of Sunday the week before. Gives them an extra day of rest.

Nobody wanted to play the game when it first started. Tex felt it waa an opportunity for exposure for his up and coming team. Once Cowboys started winning, everyone cried it was an unfair advantage because of the 10 days off after.....but yet never mentioned the 3 day preparation to play the game....and that it was never an advantage for the Lions who played every Thanksgiving too.

Its been around forever, game may be a little sloppier but I don't think anymore or less injuries occur.

Pretty much every team does it now so it’s all a wash

Only two teams have to do TWO Thursday games. The Cowboys and their other Thursday opponent. Also the Thursday NIGHT game is not the same.. (Though it still sucks too.) Those extra 4-8 hours of rest make a huge difference. For one thing it allows a full day of practice the day before the game AND a full day of rest.

I had a career where I put my life on the line each and every day. I have numerous coworkers who were killed along the way.

We didn't make $19 - $50 million to play 17 games. Stop with the inhumane garbage.

The NFL is a choice. If they don't like it, then quit. The world needs ditch diggers too.

Bbbut, Goodell is really concerned about Player safety. I wish Jerry was smart enough to make a pitch to rotate out of the Thanksgiving game.

Jerry is smart enough to NOT make a pitch to rotate out of the Thanksgiving game.

As long as the opponent also played Sunday, it's an advantage because we're always at home. It's also a massive attention-getter, which every team wants.

The Bills and Patriots both played road games today and neither played the Cowboys. They play each other next Thursday.

Some lady, I forget her name now, but she made a suggestion that makes sense. Have only teams coming off a bye week play on Thursday. But in order to do that, they'd have to add another bye week.

If they add another bye week, that pushes the Super Bowl up one week. But the Monday following Super Bowl Sunday would be President's Day. A holiday. :)
